So, as of Friday, I am going to purchase a PS3. I am only buying it mostly for the fact WB dropped HD DVD and Paramount is on the way out.  I am buying a few Blu-Ray (Prestige, Rescue Dawn, 3:10 to Yuma and another undecided). What is the one game I should get tho? Leaning towards Rachet and Clank.

One other question.

Going to run it HDM via HDMI TO DVI converter cable. How will I do audio? No 7.1, just plain 2.1 audio.
I mean, will I have any problem using that cable and then just running my audio with RCA (red/white) cables?

The next on my list is a receiver and surround sound. For the time tho\', that will have to do.

yes you can run video thru HDMI and just he the D-Terminals(cord it comes with) red and white cables to do the audio - after which if your surround sound receiver doesnt have hdmi u can do the optical out

its interesting that your hdtv only have DVI.  Same with my hdtv which only have DVI too.

How about use HDMI to DVI or a converter for the the tv, and runs the optical digital to the receiver then.

I\'d say Uncharted Drakes Fortune. I didn\'t really like R&C, but I only hired it and it only mainted my interest for half an hour or so.

It\'s an older HDTV  - About five years old, so it only has DVI.

I\'ll eventually get a new receiver, my last one died and I just never replaced it.

The only game I have is Uncharted, bought PS3 few days ago, and I\'m happy, enjoying it, but it depends from your personal taste...

I would say Uncharted, R&C, COD4, Assassin creed.
