well enlighten me then.
What people call a heart attack is called acute myocadial infarction, which is a localized area of ischemic necrosis in the heart, due to insufficient supply of blood (oxygen) to that part of the heart (which results in the death of heart cells). This is pretty painful and you\'ll likely feel nausea and pain in the chest region, neck and/or arms. Needless to say this is a serious condition which needs to be taken care of at a hospital.

EDIT: The insufficient blood supply through the coronary artery is caused by partially or full occlusion.

well samwise,

what you described is too scientific so I don\'t know.  But probably calling the symptoms i have right after I took the meds a heart attack might be the wrong terminology.  But what do you give the name to a symptom where you were sitting still, or laying down, and your heart beat was normal at around 70 to 80 bps, then all of a sudden like 15 to 30 minutes right after i took the med.  the heartrate escalated to 110ish bps.  I can hear the heartbeat through my eardrums too, it was pounding really fast and loud.  My head was also in such discomfort.

When I went to the hospital the second time that it happened.  The nurses there are a lot nicer than the nurse that I met at the psych hospital and they put wires on my body to measure EKG I think.  And my heartbeat was starting to slow down as time goes by and it shows on the monitor too.

Even I myself wasn\'t sure it was caused by the medication until the same thing happen again the next time i took that medication.

Reading Coredweller\'s post again, I have to thank him for understanding and giving good advices too.

Well there you go. That\'s not a heart attack, that\'s called tachycardia (a rapid heart rate).

mine was serious.  Its not like I was exercising or got scared that causes the rapid heartbeat which should be normal for the heart to beat fast.

I was just sitting on the chair calmly and it happened and even when i lay down in bed, it still beat so fast.  Again, they aren\'t giving me the medication they prescribed but something else that got me the heart attack.  There are some crazy medications that can do that to you.

a) i didnt say yours wasnt, i said mine wasnt..hence the "something like that" as in "not quite as serious as..."

b) you didnt have a heart attack. usually the heart stops with heart attacks...edit..nvm,lol. guess the heart\'s still going without blood er something? either way..a heart attack is more serious. NOT SAYING WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU WASNT SERIOUS

anything abnormal with the heart is alarming..but like everyone else said, shouldve found another doctor if you felt that uncomfortable and wasn\'t taking you seriously (even though i doubt thats the full story)..and they have no way of knowing how your body is going to react to medications

Actually that\'s called cardiac arrest. Incidently the heart doesn\'t stop in the normal sense, it just can\'t pump sufficiently like it usually would.

whoops...i kept calling it a heart attack, even it wasn\'t the right terminology like you said.

Really good question, I think its because they are evil.  Again, she gives me 2 weeks supply of that shit medication.  The first 5 days, I took the medication, I didn\'t have any severe side effects that is life threatening.

Until the 6 night I took it, I got into "tachycardia" that lasted for 3 1/2 hours.  That time, I didn\'t go to the hospital because I wasn\'t sure it was cause by the medication and I thought it might because I didn\'t drink it with water, but I drink it with juice that they don\'t go together or something.

So on the 7th day, all i took was the morning med that didn\'t cause me any heart problem.  I didn\'t dare take anymore night medication from there onward.  I was doing fine until on the 18th day, I had an appointment I have to see this doctor that psych doctor from the psych hospital suggest me to see.

Again, when I visited him and I was very polite explaining my problems.  He was very rude, and laughed about it.  He kept denying that it wasn\'t caused by the medication.  But my mom keeps persuading me to take the medication again.  I told her what if I died though?   She said to take it one more time, and if that happens again, don\'t take it again.  I listen to her and I regret it thinking about it.

So, the next night I took that shit night medication, I got into another tachycardia.  As it happens again, I was cursing the that evil psych doctor out.

So, my mom took me to emergency room hospital, and on the way to the hospital, i was struggling to stay still in the car.  It was quite bad...but at least the effect only last like 2 hours compare to previous where it lasted 3 1/2 hours.

But i am over it now as i did say what I want to say to my mom the next day.  I haven\'t taking any more night meds since then and I been doing more than fine.

Although I still haven\'t finish one thing and that is I wanted to do is to make a phone call to that ugly ass doctor to insult him...but there are plenty of time.

I believe it....there are plenty of asians that i\'ve seen that act and want to terribly be white,....not really sure what you would call them,..but when it refers to black folk their "uncle toms".....it\'s kinda like how some white folk used to make fun black folk lips, but alot of them are runnin\' around tryin to make their paper thin lips fuller.......and LIC pretty much nailed the whole rant....paul you kinda lost me there in the midst of your post, some parts were coherent, other parts incoherent....the ugly and evil argument? even tho i see what you\'re sayin\' i think it\'s just easier to say that it really doesn\'t matter on looks....the person can be either nasty or nice whether their nice looking or not....

The only thing worse than an Asian acting white is an Asian acting black...

Losers who "talk, dress, and act ghetto"...

The irony is that these are some of the most racist people out there, always quick to call black people niggers and making the usual stereotypes...

And Paul, I suggest you go to a lawyer for a possible malpractice suit, right after you go to a real doctor for a thorough checkup to find any lasting damages...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

thank you for the kind words.  I won\'t do it as I doubt I will win.    From that evil nurse from the psych hospital that did this to me, and the psych doctor from the clinic too.  They all worked together...

2 words.  Cover-Up.

They will do a cover-up.  From the social workers, mental health workers, clinical director, nurses, to psychiatrist doctors from the same psych hospital.  Say, if a nurse is a jerk, then the other people working for the hospital will come together and protect the company and let she did what she did.  And do a cover-up.

Believe me, that nurse wouldn\'t have abuse her power this way if she know she will get in big trouble that easily.  Also, since she\'s a nurse, she probably know which pills won\'t leave a trace of obviously evidence if I take the medication...

That\'s probably why even when i went to the emergency room hospital, the doctor and nurses there couldn\'t find anything really wrong there.  they didn\'t believe it was cause by the medication.  They think the reason why i have 110 bps is because i might got stress out, or something that I got a panic attack.  But I told her that it happens right after I took the medication.  Twice already.  Since tomorrow is Sunday, the nurse at the emergency hospital said how about take it again and endure it one more day before i see the psych doctor in the clinic on Monday to talk about the changing meds or something

I said, no.  I won\'t take it again because I don\'t want to suffer again.

they won\'t do a cover-up..this is real life, not a movie.

if anything theyll just find a much better lawyer than you could ever pay for and win..especially since you seem a little of your rocker :D

people dont do things because theyre "evil", as much as you want to believe that. There\'s always two sides to something, and going by what your saying, id never just go by your word. i mean, your trying to use "the nurse is a jerk and evil and ugly" to make your case? you sound 5

Heh yeah Paul2, I gotta admit you sound a bit... um... crazy... with all the rambling.

And to be honest it really does sound like you were having a panic attack. Even if you weren\'t, that\'s what the symptoms point at, so it\'s not strange that\'s what the doctor thought.

I still don\'t get the whole evil-doctor-and-evil-nurse-wanting-to-give-you-wrong-pills thing.
