"Microsoft Game Studios will retain the publishing rights for Mass Effect on Xbox 360 and future downloadable content for this installment," Microsoft said in a statement. "Microsoft Game Studios and Electronic Arts have entered into an agreement where Electronic Arts will publish all future Mass Effect titles and projects."

With console-agnostic EA as the publisher, there is now the possibility that a Mass Effect sequel could someday appear on the PlayStation 3. However, BioWare cofounder Greg Zeschuk has said that his studio would like to finish the "Mass Effect trilogy" on the Xbox 360.


^^^Does that mean that mass effect is still a possibillity on the ps3?....

everyone had made good points about which console seems to be in good position right now and which might win.

Making it really hard to predicts which will win out in the end.

The PS3 is starting to sell much better now and attach ratios are beginning to improve greatly as well in Europe.

Too bad about Blu-Ray, I would have enjoyed HD-DVD more, especially since I\'m still not shelling out for the PS3, heh.

At least we\'ve settled on a format. Actually, Microsoft will probably just end up with an Xbox 360 Blu-Ray player instead.

And with the console sales in general, I think the 360 deserves to be on top. It\'s been the best consistently over the last couple years. Wii is fun, but the good games are too few and far between. And PS3... well, it had that one adventure game... Drake was it? ;]

they actually did say it wasnt out of the picture in an interview. They wouldn\'t fully say it since it was a couple weeks before toshiba backed out and officially ended it all, but the fact they still said it was a possibility at a time where they probably had to talk like they were still behind hd-dvd 100% says a lot

but going by the quality hd-dvd player they made, i wouldnt expect the blu-ray addon to be as good of a player as the ps3. unless they put more effort into it since they just seemed to make the hd-dvd player for the hell of it with no real intention for it to succeed

but i know which games and which kind of games will be coming to PS3.. and they happen to be the ones catering my taste...

if people don\'t have a clue which those games might be, ... yeah.. then they probably don\'t fit your taste in the first place...

so, it\'s less likely i\'ll go back to the 360. So, from my pov, the PS3 will be top console.

Too Human, Fable,...and a few others comin\' down the pike exclusively on 360 are sure to make if not strong, then it\'ll be at least decent debuts,...while the ps3 at least at this point doesn\'t really have much in the way of exclusives,....just lookin\' at some of the 1st party stuff comin\' from the 360 camp,...it\'s actually lookin\' stronger than sony\'s....I really haven\'t seen anything other than god of war or uncharted that is really peaking my interest from sony\'s 1st party division....and like i mentioned earlier..all the other great games bein\' released later will be on both consoles...with the exception of metal gear,...(which will probably be released later on the 360 as well)

The ps2 had a strong library due to it\'s strong 3rd party support,...now the 360 has a huge chunk of that, plus some strong 1st party titles to boot,...and hd-dvd thing is no big deal, cause as mentioned they\'ll just add on the blu-ray player...so i think the 360 will have the edge here...also add that sony still doesn\'t know what machine it wants to stay dedicated to...the msg package is good, but isn\'t this like the 3rd or 4th time they changed platforms?...that\'s not good,...you should know what platform you want to support 2 1/2 years down the road....

Gran Turismo is good,...but i don\'t think that series is as strong as it used to be..final fantasy?...yeah i missed that one,..but square is already makin\' games on the 360 and wii so i think that it\'ll only be a matter of time...and you already see what i stated about metal gear...i\'m still a sony fan, i just hope sony tightens things up in the near future...

Hmmm...you\'re probably right...i guess i was kind of lettin\' my personal opinion of it get in the way of my thinking a bit (not sayin the game is bad)....but i guess i wasn\'t really thinkin\' of how the game is perceived across the world in general....

the upcoming is another story ; part of those upcoming PS3 games have already been announced, previewed or rumoured.... alot of (potential) PS3 owners bought/are buying the PS3 for exactly those upcoming games which interest them more than the 360\'s franchises by a long shot.

see my only problem with 360 so far is out of all those games you listed clips - each one is a damn shooter game... even so mass effect still peaks my interest for the sake of something different. I want variation in my games... the more and more this generation goes on the more and more i see all these hyped up shooter games even on ps3 it starts to get more common to see shooter after shooter.

I don\'t see many shooters on Wii. I guess it lacks time consuming RPGs, 10 hour FMV sequences games, generic racers and GTAX.

Or I guess you don\'t want to follow the trend with the popular system this generation.
