Didn\'t it say it takes 15 minutes of driving to get from one end of the map to the other? That\'s HUGE! I\'ll be playing all year!

from what I can see of the maps, I\'m not entirely sure that\'s the case, unless you are caught up in traffic for most of the journey

a friend sent me an email with a link claiming to be the first ingame footage to be leaked onto the net.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=b24VlblTocs&feature=related

I was watching it, and I took the same view as him, I don\'t think it\'s GTA, I was thinking more along the lines of Driver, there are features in that vid that are found in driver games.

what do you reckon?

hm..there arent any wanted stars, but i heard they might\'ve changed that system. If the left circle is showing the best route for the player, then id be sold but u cant see it too well.

i kind of hope that isnt gta4 just because the slow motion parts were retarded. They were cool for the crashes, but when they happened in the midst of driving, u end up running into other cars, screwing up u getting away. If its a button that causes that, then that\'ll be cool

Where did you guys pre-order?

I did the regular edition at Amazon.  I\'ll be damned if I ever pay over retail for a game that comes with crap that will be thrown away in 3 years.

just kind of a clue on what\'s going to be in the game

the one thing that might suck, which i anticipated, was that the story is beatable in less than 30 hours..all the other gta\'s were so huge that i never finished the game. and its not like the story was amazing, so i liked having so much that i\'d never finish it..this time, not so much, probably because multiplayer is a big part of the game..

o well..i hate waiting..

I fear for the PS3-version. Have they shown anything at all from the PS3-version? We already know Sony helped out Rockstar with the PS3-port, I hope it turns out as well as UT3 did where Sony had to help Epic.

I can\'t find any hard evidence either way but it sounds like the game was made for both systems from the ground up.

And as for fear...

For the first time, Rockstar gave us hands-on access to both the PS3 and 360 versions of GTA IV. The good news is that no matter which system you prefer, you’re going to have a great-looking game to play. There are only some minor visual differences noticeable between the two preview versions. The 360 build is brighter and has slightly more vibrant color while the PS3 build has less aliasing issues. Both display a solid, consistent framerate even during scenes with heavy pedestrian traffic and wild explosions. While graphics whores will find subtle differences to nitpick, the average Joe is going to be happy with either version.

fuck you assassins was awesome...lol. when will people learn that pessimism is healthier than having expectations

but ign was pretty critical of assassin\'s, in a fair way. the only one i take more seriously than ign is gametrailers. i don\'t base buying games on reviews, but theyre still useful to know what to expect when ur buying a game
