I would GLADLY pay $100 for unlimited downloads.

Uhm?
Zune already does this  -sorta.
You pay $14 bucks a month, get unlimited downloads. The only downside is they are subscription based, but if you really want, just download a program and strip the DRM in all of two seconds.

That\'s what I do.

Still, Apple\'s plan is a good one, but I\'m not sure if they\'ll embrace it. It doesn\'t seem very profitable in the long run. At least no compared to what they have now.  I\'d just go the MS route and offer a sub service.

$8 a month for all the legal music I want?  Sign me up DAWG

Anyone use Amazon\'s music download store btw?  It\'s 100% DRM free and the quality is better than the standard 128kbps iTunes file.

I\'ve honestly just been using pandora for all of my music needs.  I rarely use my mp3 player so I don\'t ever really need to download the .mp3

Another good music site, although it has less mainstream music.

Exactly.
I keep lobbying for Wal-mart to do this!

I\'d pay 100 bucks for that service. It will save in the long run. That\'s like 8-10 cds right there.
