You mean when Vamp threw the knives during the cutscene?

yeah, the cutscenes around 9:40 length of the video review, it show vamp jumping up in the air with two feet stretch and throwing knives...

if the control system and physic has improve like you guys said.  Cool.

Well regarding the throwing knives physics Knotter8 answered it for you. You are seeing an issue that is not there regarding that specific scene. ;)

i know some people were complaining of the cutscenes,...but that never really bothered me, and here i guess the game is trying to tie up all of the loose ends from the previous games,...with so much put into the game in terms of trying to end this chapter of the game,...i don\'t think we\'ll see another mgs any time soon....i know we\'ve gotten mgs 2 & snake eater last gen, but it\'s taking games a bit longer to come out this gen.

Even the big firms that are already familiar with the tech are still taking quite a bit of time to release games,...maybe as the years press on, development times will improve, but i say the chance of us getting another mgs this gen?...between 30 - 50%...

i wouldn\'t be surprise if they fine tune mgs4 again and re-release it like how they did mgs2 substance and mgs3 subsistence.

Nine hours of cut scenes is absurd.

Honestly, it\'s a game. Not a movie.
My Hi-Def movie collection (much smaller than the SD one).

It\'s a matter of preference, some like it, some obviously don\'t... Me personally, I have always enjoyed previous mgs games, cut-scenes included.

I don\'t mind some log cut scenes as long as they aren\'t boring.

But who wouldn\'t want to pay 60 bucks for a C level movie?

Money well spent.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

When was the last time a game didn\'t have boring cut scenes? Even my favorite games lack good cut scenes.

Just my two cents.

i have no clue about ratchet & clank....but uncharted took me a few days to beat...but i suggest that you buy uncharted,...even if you could find it used....that\'s a really impressive game.

Ha.. I said "log cut scenes"

As long as they further the story I guess I shoulda said.

If I\'ve been playing a really heavily story driven game, I don\'t mind them taking a 5 or 10min break from the action to \'splain some shit.

played it for about an hour today

Not really going to give a review since i havent gotten anywhere, but theres definitly a big learning curve with the controls..especially if you havent played the series before. I dont know if i overlooked it, but it doesnt seem like theres a tutorial. I swear i saw videos of training missions but i cant find them anywhere.

Other than a few screw ups with me and the controller it seems like a really good game. I played most of that hour without cutscenes (after the beginning scene of course)

Look what i got yesterday :

A PS3 + MGS4 + SC DA + GTA IV

Funny though ; the PS3 was actually the GTA IV bundle which i didn\'t intend to buy. However, i was \'forced to\'  because all standard packs seemed to be sold out

This is my re-entry into \'next gen gaming\'  after formerly owning a 360 : MGS4 looks & plays very very well. In many ways it\'s a gaming pinnacle and in some other ways it (technically) lags behind.

@ Viper ; for control tuts goto Briefing in the Options menu ; you can scroll through all moves tutorials.

i have but i still screw up in the heat of the moment. like ill pop out too far when 3 guys come running around a corner and im like "shiiit" and screw up the buttons. Doesnt help i always get the X button wrong (been playing 360 the last few years)

stupid question: how the hell do you grab people? haha. every time i go for it i either do nothing and get knocked down, or i knock the dude over. I\'ve tried holding down R1 like the briefing says but it never works for me

nice buy btw. everyone rags on SC: DA but i thought it was awesome. definitly a change in gameplay but they decided to try something new, and people always bitch about change.
