New Resident Evil 5 Screens...

the line is really gray with realism vs unrealism and what is fun. But with things like physics, i think those almost always need to be realistic even if the premise isnt.

Ill trust them to find a good enough balance with what theyre trying to do. If there wasn\'t a mob of zombies after you, they might be able to put more realistic physics..but with that amount of zombies and realistic physics youd probably be dead in 5 seconds

Heh, i just noticed that...i guess that\'s the games way of trying to balance out you taking on so many zombies,...i\'m going to have to think that there is going to be plenty of ammo to be found in this one,...cause it seems that you are really going to be forced to engage in combat,...but yeah the punching is indeed unrealistic, but aren\'t zombies unrealistic as well?..;)....and Chris didn\'t take all those steroids just to be able to lay out one zombie, he has to take out at least 2 or 4 with one punch...:D
Zombies do not exist but you want them to react according to the laws of reality. It is no FF, DMC or a superhero game.

We know that Chris is a normal man placed in a realistic world were we assume the existence of zombies and monsters. Even Bruce Lee or any wrestler in existence dont have that kind of punch. Its as if steroids can give you the power of Hulk, and zombies dont have weight.

If it ends up like Resident Evil 4 where tha main character feels unstoppable then Resi5 will feel like a mere action game than a survival horror game.

Or....

He could be infected with a virus?

Maybe wait until you know the actual story?

Nah, that\'d make too much sense.

And did you even play RE4? It wasn\'t a "mere action game". It had moments of survival horror that rivaled the original. It was just a different type.

Remember when everyone said RE was a dead series? Right after it was announced as an exclusive GameCube game?

Yeah...
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

I still recall  having a dream about Pikmins carrying away a permanently dead zombie while I was Raccoon Forest.

Finished it twice including the hardest mode, completed all the mercenary missions with every character and unlocked everything.

Leon wasnt infected with a virus yet he was too much for anyone.

And yes Resi 4 felt most part like another action game than a survival horror.

If it was an action game, why was it considered to be one of the greatest "survival horror" games?

It was a turn for the franchise and while I loved the old control scheme and zombies, you can\'t ignore how great RE4 is.

I never said Resi 4 was not a great game. It just lacked the atmosphere of the old games. It wasnt the camera or the new control scheme that ruined it for me. It had too much deadly weapons, ammo were automatically appearing almost whenever you needed, enemies bounced unrealistically when kicked or shot, and your enemies were easy to get rid off with a pistol/knife knee/headshot and melee attacks. Only a few sections reminded me a lot of the scary atmosphere the old ones had. The soundtrack also got too much "action style" later on. The soundtrack was one of the greatest things about the previous resi games.

Well, I\'d say it\'s a survival horror with faster action :)
I loved the first RE and RE2 on PSX, and I liked RE1, RE0 and RE4 on GC.

Resident Evil: Rebirth is the  best one.

I\'ve played and completed every one of \'em.

Resident Evil : Zero is the worst one. Resident Evil: Nemesis was pretty damn bad also, but it at least wasn\'t crippled like Zero.

Yep.  The best for me was RE1, it was a new experience. It was a WOW!
Like the first Tekken and GT on PSX, Mario64 on Nintendo64, or Virtua fighter2, SegaRally and Nights on Sega Saturn, and so on.
