Mass Effect
« on: June 07, 2008, 08:46:24 AM »
Anybody get it on PC?

I never got to play the 360 version.

Man, this game is amazing.

Bioware doesn\'t fuck around.

They are also working on a MMO, and the rumor is they are going to another Star Wars one.

I have much faith in Bioware, and if that\'s true that could be really awesome.

Still waiting for Baldur\'s Gate 3 however...
Helloski.

Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Just finished it last night. Fucking awesome game.

If Bioware or Bethesda were actual people I would want to hump both of them.

Welcome to last year? ;)

No seriously, I played it on the 360 and finished it twice. It was a great game, but still a slight disappointment. I never truly felt that what I done made a difference as far as conversations went. And all the worlds were the same. I\'d say it was a step down from Knights of the Old Republic, but a step up from Jade Empire.

With that said, bring on Mass Effect 2.

the first playthrough i felt like i contributed with the dialogue, but after a few playthroughs i saw it was pretty skimpy, with a bunch of different things leading to the same dialogue.

the main things i want in mass effect 2 is an overhaul of the mako and more variety in the uncharted planets.

but itll probably be a long ass time for ME2..have a feeling that and assassins 2 are going to take a while till they come out. ME2 probably before since assassin\'s seems like theyre going to be changing the setting completely

i could be wrong. i can\'t see how they can change the setting without changing the game completely (social stealth/climbing buildings/swords/etc) but..just finish the damn mission :D

i really like the medieval setting so i want it to stay. That was the main thing that got me into the game, even more than the climbing buildings. Not really any games that arent all fantasy-y that are set in that time

I just couldn\'t get into AC... which is funny because it really seems like the kinda game I would love.

I couldn\'t speak on replaying Mass Effect, cause I NEVER play games twice.

It did seem really linear, but thats fine to me. I made a soldier so I didnt bother with any of the magic or whatever, I just wanted to make a bad-ass gunfighter, and I had a great time in some of the fights where my whole team was dead and it was up to me to take everything out.

And Raz, EVERYTHING is a step down from knights of the old republic... One of my favorite games of all time.

Preach it , brother. It\'s a damn shame KoToR2 was a total let down.

I didn\'t even make it past the opening. They done the whole tired starting over without anything just ruined it for me.  They really should of made it so you could use your previous character.

That is also what they are saying for Mass Effect 2, btw. I think it was one of the producers who said something like "hold onto your save games, cause youll be able to pick up right where you left off".

You didn\'t miss anything... You didn\'t even get a lightsabre until around the halfway point, which was lame as hell.
