At least the Pats went out with honor.  Not much you can say wrong about a team finishing 11-5 with the amount of injuries that they had.  The sad part is, they\'re better than half the teams making the playoffs and could have done some damage.

The mere fact that someone in the AFC West is making the playoffs is a joke.  I\'d like to see the Titans win the Superbowl now.

you have a better system? i guess we could just move the pats to the afc west and the raiders to the east to even it out? thats not short-sighted is it?

get used to it..it\'s happened to most teams in the nfl. KC got booted several years in a row because of situations like this (remember when they kept petitioning for 8 teams in the playoffs)

and i mean from a division like yours, how could you be bitching? you havent had to deal with competition for like 5+ years in the regular season

I\'m not saying we should "swap teams", but I\'m in favor of getting rid of divisions.  The best 6 teams in the conference should make the playoffs.  End of story.

The NFL system isn\'t bad, but its far from perfect.  In all the years the pats have made the playoffs they have had at least 10 wins, not 8, so there is no comparison in terms of competition.  And FYI, in our 5+ year run, the Jets have made the playoffs a number of times.

that might work, actually. but i doubt they\'d do that. could completely erase any rivalry, especially between teams like oakland and san diego who hate eachother no matter how bad oakland is

True, but what I dislike about sports is that they\'ve gone from putting the best teams in the playoffs and moved towards getting the best television ratings.

Whatever, they went 11-5 and went out with a win.  They did their part, given the circumstances, that\'s pretty damn good.  The league better watch out when Brady gets back and the defense recovers from their injuries.

And when all the dipshit bandwagoning fans return in full force.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

i guess there\'s rumors that he has extra scar tissue that could use another surgury that could knock him out another season. I cant really see him missing 2 seasons, but im no doctor. either way, they better sign cassel unless they have another wildcard qb in their back pocket

My guess is they\'ll tag cassel and then trade him (to the 49\'ers I heard)

broncos need a new coaching staff. ive defended shanahan and his group long enough. the defense is atrocious, but has players like bailey and dj williams and they wont even run the ball. it\'s not like they\'re running and getting stuffed, they just simply ae deciding to throw every single fucking down.

yay for higher draft pick, i guess

WAT?

They started a fight and jumble up the field to prevent Buffalo from kicking a field goal.

That\'s not honor

Actually buffalo started the fight, and rather than end it, they WASTED over 20 seconds and blew an opportunity to tie the game.  What game were you watching?

They\'ve shown the highlight on ESPN a number of times already.

From AP:

Quote
Buffalo, however, couldn\'t get a play off amid the confusion and didn\'t get any help from Bills tight end Derek Schouman and center Duke Preston. They were involved in shoving matches with Patriots players at the 5, making it impossible for the team to line up before time ran out.

yea, that was buffalo\'s fault. im sure the patriots guy tried to instigate it by maybe pushing after the play or trash talking (when dont players do that), but all the guy had to do was walk away

I don\'t know which I love more, the Cowboys getting stomped or the Patriots coming up short.  Luckily I don\'t have to choose.   I love the holidays.
