In related news, Kyle Orton has the 4th highest QB rating in the NFL.  Also, he looked a lot better than Cutler did.

qb rating is bs. no int\'s helps, but if he didnt have the 89 yard completion for a td, his rating would not be whatever it is.

you obviously didnt watch the game if all you\'re going off of is rating. He had a good drive to get them a field goal before the half, but before that they went 3 and out a bunch of times and like 0 for 9 on 3rd down.

cutler was pretty bad. but he sucked against the bills and got comfortable in the later games, so I dont think hell keep that up. Hell always have a hard time in the redzone, but hes always on the brink of a huge play. IF orton can score points along with being a safe qb, ill be happy....just dont see that happening. hopefully he proves me wrong

going off some qb rating calculator site, ortons rating was 75.54 before the last play

Point is just that he won.  A lot of QB\'s that are considered to be elite guys had bad first weeks.  I know you don\'t expect much, but let it play out a little more.  He\'s in a new offense with new teammates, and didn\'t have his primary target to get comfortable with for half the preseason.

Also, the Cowboys suck.  Beating the Bucs is nothing to brag about.

Meh my boyz lost to tha g-men...it was a good game, but we should\'ve won it. Romo played like garbage....our running game was off the chains, but damn everytime romo dropped back he either threw a lousy pass or it was intercepted...dude looked like danny white as in everytime he dropped back to throw a pass it was an INT.

I still say it was a mistake to get rid of T.O(because of the supposed beef between them)....that was basically their lame excuse for gettin\' rid of him, well if these guys don\'t get deep into the playoffs this year, Romo will have nobody to blame but himself....and wade phillips will definitely be fired. Romo is so f**king inconsistant(spel) and overrated.

I\'am happy that the jets waxed the patriots tho...:fro:...i hate brady and belichick.

You don\'t deserve to win when you run like crazy after taking out the best defensive player, a lineman, on the other team with a ridiculously dirty play by a ridiculously dirty player.  Sorry.

What was worse was that he tried to do the exact same thing to Osi later in the game.

And you know, I\'m a Giants fan.  Hating the Cowboys just comes naturally :)

the football season starts now for the broncos, but the 3-0 start will help a lot. need some teams to actually beat the chargers though instead of outplaying them and losing (miami couldve won if pennington didnt get hurt)

Im impressed with orton not having turnovers, but if there ever comes a game where they NEED to score points, which could happen against romo next week, Im still not confident in orton winning the game...hopefully the defense and run game keeps up.

its almost depressing knowing you have 2-3 good RB\'s, 2 good TE\'s, 3-4 good WR\'s (2 really good), and a good o-line and still not be confident in your offense scoring enough points

I didn\'t see the whole game...i only saw the 2nd half, and while dallas had some bright spots(the running game is still strong)...wtf was up with the playcalling at the goal line?!!.....Your running game is dominant all game long and yet you choose to throw two bulls**t ass passes to the sidelines for incompletions?!!...Wade and Jarret were complete idiots for calling those plays.

Overall...i\'m glad we won the game, but dallas is not going to be making any noise this season....i can\'t understand why they love to keep the other team in the game instead of dialing up the points...and their two minute defensive drill needs work....it seems all you need to do is to call a hurry up offense and the dallas "D" becomes confused...everyteam that performs the hurry up walks down the field on them.

I think we need a new coach, because these guys imo just don\'t fear or respect wade....there\'s too many dumbass penalties bein\' made and the talent is lackluster....i\'m still a dallas fan, but i\'m not expecting them to go deep into the playoffs this year.

jesus christ that was stressful. had romo been accurate they probably wouldve won, but im loving the new defense (minding the big 4th and 2 play that went for 50 yards)...

orton\'s an oddity. the announcers were saying he was accurate with a strong arm during practice, then played pretty bad today in terms of his accuracy yet his stats look good. Got pretty lucky on moreno\'s td and marshalls td was all marshall...they need to pay that guy his due

most of these "analysts" piss me the fuck off..bradshaw and a few other people said something along the lines of "dallas is a bad team" now that they lost to the broncos. of course, it\'s not that the broncos are a solid team. I havent been able to see what jamie dukes\' thinks (who was adament the broncos would be one of the worst teams in the league), but supposedly his co-host called him out on his prediction and he went on some hissy fit and even brought up cutler. tools

damn..

I don\'t know what to say...i only seen from the middle of the 3rd to the end and as far as dallas goes...they keep other teams in the game...ONLY when they are behind is the only time they are able to score points...other than that, when they have a lead, they sit on it rather than to try to put that nail in the coffin.

They kept on letting the broncos hang around and then whala, the broncos score and then magically the cowboys walk down the field on them all the way to the goal line, only to choke...why didn\'t those idiots play like that when they had the lead?...damn the playcalling sucks....they only played with desperation when they were behind,..other than that wade and jarrett was calling bulls**t ass plays.

Roy williams is a bust as well,...i don\'t care how much drama t.o. was causing, i\'m sure they\'re regretting letting him go...none of the dallas receivers are getting open and none of them are a threat.

Not to take anything away from the broncos "D", but dallas always keeps the other team in the game.

they almost went 4 and out on the last drive, so its not like they had some solid drive that owned the broncos. just had that one huge 4th down play. Then they eventually went 4 and out in the redzone.

it\'s tough to keep any team from scoring, but to not give up any points after the first 10 points that happened in the 1st quarter is more than dallas keeping denver in the game. dallas couldnt run the ball that well, despite them being stouted as one of the better running teams (because of their o-line) and romo had to throw 45 times against a secondary that hasnt allowed a passing td yet.

denver has to stop relying on the turnovers that happen in the opponents redzone. the offense needed one in the browns, raiders, and this game to get their scoring started.
