I am quite impressed.  Sarah had hairplugz sighing.  She won the debate hands down.  She connects with the public as an every day average person.  "Say it ain\'t so Joe"... great stuff.

Now who said Biden was going to mop the floor with her?  :lmao:

i thought they both came off well, but i\'d give the edge to biden.

i couldnt really believe palin stuck by her "i dont care about what\'s causing global warming, i just want to fix it"...really? bringing up the fact the earth goes through stages was a good point, but the evidence of how much our carbon dioxide emissions went sky high since the industrial revolution and our current CO2 levels in the air is warning enough that humans arent helping the cause. and it\'s pretty damn tough to figure out a solution when you ignore the cause

How sad is it that the bar was set very low for palin to begin with?...I think that is rather disturbing. That said, Palin did just enough to look decent...she wasn\'t great, but she wasn\'t poor either and she also wasn\'t the train wreck that she\'s been lately. And her attemps and quirks at sarcasm come off as incredibly phony. Biden owned her on the foreign policy issues,...and there were a few times were she was just stating talking points and ramblimg on about nothing.

I give the edge to biden, and i think there was alot of pressure on him, not to beat up on her, because of her experience and because of her being a woman,...which i think is bulls**t....if women want equal rights and all that, biden should not have to hold back on her just because she\'s a woman,...the same people that scream sexism(some in the media) are the very same folks that are being hypocrites on this issue.

You\'re crazy if you think she connects with any one.
And as for mopping the floor...Well, the polls show otherwise. Current polls have Biden also winning this debate.

Then again, if Palin had simply came out and said "Hi!", you\'d still be screaming that she done a great job. It\'s part of being a blind loyalist.

Ummm... actually no... I don\'t there was a clear winner.  I expected Palin to get destroyed, but she held her own.  Polls are cute, but all the political analysts after the debate tipped their hats to Palin for going toe to toe with Biden.

Your just as bad as Giga LIC, your just on the other side of the fence.  All Obama has to do is smile and you\'ll think he won the debate.  Keep reading reddit/digg and other liberal media outlets if that makes you feel good about yourself.

I am tired of your anti-conservative remarks.  Your just as big an idiot as the rest of them.  Everyone keeps complaining about the state of the economy, but when Obama gets elected and he starts taxing all these businesses and they have to let their employees go because they have no more money... you\'ll be wishing you voted the other way.

Jobs are more important that tax breaks.  End of story.

As a side note:  If you are going to cut taxes, cut taxes for everyone, I shiver every time I hear redistribution of wealth, we are not a communist nation.  Free markets FTW.

Biden lied about opposing clean coal plants, he lied about Afghanistan, he lied about Kissenger\'s comments on face to face talks with Dictators. The guy was rattled.

Did you see Biden when Palin was talking?  All those faces he was making?  What a joke.  Biden has always been wrong on foreign policy.  Always.  BTW Biden drives a Bosniac?  WTF is that?  Also Joe, try saying the word "characterized" - come on you can do it.

The VP debate all comes down to who is more likable and who the public connects with.  On that front - Sarah Palin crushed Biden, who came across as a stuffy old angry man.

JOE BIDEN’S 14 LIES IN THE DEBATE

1. TAX VOTE: Biden said McCain voted “the exact same way” as Obama to increase taxes on Americans earning just $42,000, but McCain DID NOT VOTE THAT WAY.

2. AHMEDINIJAD MEETING: Joe Biden lied when he said that Barack Obama never said that he would sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud Ahmedinijad of Iran. Barack Obama did say specifically, and Joe Biden attacked him for it.

3. OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING: Biden said, “Drill we must.” But Biden has opposed offshore drilling and even compared offshore drilling to “raping” the Outer Continental Shelf.”

4. TROOP FUNDING: Joe Biden lied when he indicated that John McCain and Barack Obama voted the same way against funding the troops in the field. John McCain opposed a bill that included a timeline, that the President of the United States had already said he would veto regardless of it’s passage.

5. OPPOSING CLEAN COAL: Biden says he’s always been for clean coal, but he just told a voter that he is against clean coal and any new coal plants in America and has a record of voting against clean coal and coal in the U.S. Senate.

6. ALERNATIVE ENERGY VOTES: According to FactCheck.org, Biden is exaggerating and overstating John McCain’s record voting for alternative energy when he says he voted against it 23 times.

7. HEALTH INSURANCE: Biden falsely said McCain will raise taxes on people\'s health insurance coverage -- they get a tax credit to offset any tax hike. Independent fact checkers have confirmed this attack is false

8. OIL TAXES: Biden falsely said Palin supported a windfall profits tax in Alaska -- she reformed the state tax and revenue system, it\'s not a windfall profits tax.

9. AFGHANISTAN / GEN. MCKIERNAN COMMENTS: Biden said that top military commander in Iraq said the principles of the surge could not be applied to Afghanistan, but the commander of NATO\'s International Security Assistance Force Gen. David D. McKiernan said that there were principles of the surge strategy, including working with tribes, that could be applied in Afghanistan.

10. REGULATION: Biden falsely said McCain weakened regulation -- he actually called for more regulation on Fannie and Freddie.

11. IRAQ: When Joe Biden lied when he said that John McCain was “dead wrong on Iraq”, because Joe Biden shared the same vote to authorize the war and differed on the surge strategy where they John McCain has been proven right.

12. TAX INCREASES: Biden said Americans earning less than $250,000 wouldn’t see higher taxes, but the Obama-Biden tax plan would raise taxes on individuals making $200,000 or more.

13. BAILOUT: Biden said the economic rescue legislation matches the four principles that Obama laid out, but in reality it doesn’t meet two of the four principles that Obama outlined on Sept. 19, which were that it include an emergency economic stimulus package, and that it be part of “part of a globally coordinated effort with our partners in the G-20.”

14. REAGAN TAX RATES: Biden is wrong in saying that under Obama, Americans won\'t pay any more in taxes then they did under Reagan.

Biden definitely won the debate, he ran circles around Palin at certain points.  But anyone who expected a train wreck were completely disappointed.  I thought she would do fine as she excels at skirting the details and trying to connect with the "average American", which seems like all they were trying to accomplish last night.

It was a bit disconcerting at how many questions she did not answer or gave an answer that didn\'t address the topic or question at hand.  She at times sounded like a series of pre-recorded diatribes lacking any real focus or punch.  Her handlers loaded her up with rhetoric and cut her loose.... and I\'ll admit it worked for the most part.

She was known as a pretty good debater when she ran for Gov. of Alaska, so I wasn\'t expecting her to have a meltdown... she only has a meltdown when you ask her more detailed policy questions.

I\'ll be honest, I actually liked that.  She even came out and said something to the effect of, "I may not answer all your questions, but I want to get my point across."  I like the fact that she was willing to push back against the moderator and control the pace of the debate.

I just don\'t see how anyone could say there was a "winner" last night.  Nobody won, you just had two slightly different views on the issues.  People who say Biden won have simply been drinking the koolaid for way too long.

I\'m tired of the love affair with the socialist.  He offers no change, he is more of the same, and he seeks only to make our lives even worse.

Well with "Age of Obama" Ifill moderating and giving Biden the last word on just about every question what do you expect?

It is funny how those of you claim Obama won the first debate, when clearly McCain ran circles around him on knowledge.  I attribute this to different expectations from both sides.  With McCain I was looking for knowledge and experience and with Palin I was looking for her to connect with the "average" American.  They both accomplished it.

Given that, I still think Biden lost the debate even on substance.  He lied about things just because he knew he could get away with it.  The MSM is in the tank for Obama - Ifill\'s book - "Age of Obama" is do to go on sale in January.  That book isn\'t going to sell by itself.  Love affair indeed.

Also, you really can\'t consider this a debate.  It is just a question and answer session.

I think both sides had lied or misled about stuffs they said during the debate.  Come on people, its politics and they just wanted your votes, so they will say things to get your votes.  So saying that Biden made many lies during the debate but exclude Sarah is also single sided, and not true either because she also did the same thing.

here is a Link.

Palin looks hotter. Though Joe Biden does look quite handsome in that dark suit. Palin has nicer tits than Joe also.
