The picture was definitely in poor taste, but no worse than anything Giga has done.  If you wanted him to stop with the racism, he certainly won\'t now.

I stopped, but then luckee thought it would be in good taste to post that crap.  Like I said it belongs in OT.  I already admitted I was wrong, seems others want a double standard.

Like I said... with no women here you won\'t get an honest answer.

And Viper how is that post "political"?  He cited nothing specific that he considered stupid.  Why is she considered stupid?  Why not post the words without the picture?  Is it because she is attractive?  Obviously she is intelligent to become the governor of a state.  More intelligent than the rest of us.

I\'m sure if any of us take or pursue a field or course in politics, and understanding the basic fundamentals of it, who\'s to say that any of us might actually turn out to be a better governor or smarter than Palin? At the moment she knows more than any of us because she\'s in the field that she practices. Just in how I can say i\'m more knowledgeable about the computer systems i maintain at my job, that you wouldn\'t have a clue about,...but with proper training, you could know just as much as i do and maybe even perform the job a bit better. The same logic applies here.

I can say this with absolute certainty.  Palin is way more intelligent than you, LIC and luckee.  Unless of course it comes to collecting welfare checks and working on Dodge cars.

...regardless of how i feel about her I.Q.....all i\'m saying is that if we got into politics and have taken a specific field of study in it,..there\'s a chance that any of us could be a better governor or smarter than Palin....hey if you don\'t have that much confidence in yourself so be it,..all i\'m saying is that it\'s a possibility.

Clips, it also takes more than intelligence.  It takes ambition and sacrifice.  Who would want to run for an office now a days with all the dirt people dig up?  Would you?

Being a politician isn\'t a trade.  You don\'t just go to school and then run for office.  It doesn\'t work that way.  You have be good at a multitude of things and have charisma.  It is not as easy as you make it out to be.

EDIT:  Also wasn\'t it you getting upset at people at McCain rallies calling Obama a Muslim, a terrorist, etc?  Yet, calling Palin names is ok.  Like I said I cleaned up my act - others took it as a green light for them to be assholes as well.

I think we forget though, she did do a great job as mayor, and she was thought of very favorably as governor...  that\'s got to count for something.

I understand all of that, and i was just saying in general terms without explaining all of those details, that it\'s a possibility that any us could do what she did and even better if we study politics and build up our knowledge of gov\'t,....my point is that you act like she can always be smarter than any of us,...take for instance you and Core...even tho you can be a bit of an ass giga, i still think you\'re a knowledgeable person, along with Core...now if you guys pursued a position in politics and for the sake of argument governor,..i do believe that there is a chance that you guys can do a better job than Palin and actually might even be a bit more intelligent than her on certain issues,..it is a possibility.

To act like she will always be smarter than us is like telling your kids, you can never be president or you\'ll never be able to own your own company because you\'ll never be as smart as the said individual.

Ok, hypothetically I suppose your argument is valid, but...

As it stands now she is more successful than any of us here I would guess.

The point I am trying to make is that this negativity has to stop.  It isn\'t healthy for us or the country.  If you bring up issues - post links to back them up.  That has always been the unwritten rule here.  I don\'t care if we disagree, I just don\'t want this forum turning into a FreeRepublic or a DailyKOS.  I know I haven\'t been lately, but I think we can all be civil and attempt to post intelligent views.

You went one whole day without making racist comments and even then, you had to throw in there that you can\'t discuss Obama with black people - a generally racist comment.

Quit trying to act like a victim.

And as for double standards - did I laugh at Luckee\'s pic? Not really. I found it equally as stupid as all the shit you post.

And stupid shit like this. You keep throwing insults out with no basis, just to try and be shocking. It\'s pathetic and honestly, if I was a Republican, I\'d be ashamed to say you were a supporter of my party.

First of all I admitted I was wrong - not playing a victim at all.  Secondly, the welfare check comment was said with sarcasm.

Your sarcasm does not come across on a message board and I find it hard to believe it was sarcasm. You\'ve been trolling like this for the past month, throwing out random insults and racist comments.

Let me make it clear, I don\'t support Luckee\'s picture either, but I find it absurd that you can go around , insult people, make racist comments, but as soon as someone posts a tasteless picture of the other candiate, then you have the right to close it? Complete double standard. Even better is, just in another thread you were crying about how the Democrat\'s always try and shut up anyone who disagrees with them. What exactly would you call what you done?
