Looking forward to playing RE5.

no spoilers so dont worry

i finished the game last night with my brother. took 19 hours so that\'s pretty good time. we were also looking around for all the stuff we could pick up so keep that in mind. I think RE4 took me 22-24 hours playing the same way, so considering you have another guy with you taking half the kills, 19 hours ir pretty good

on to the trophies...

19 hours is very good.  I\'ll probably get it next week.  what about the difficulty level ?  average, challenging...

i had it on veteran (hardest before unlocking professional) and it had it\'s tough moments. It was a little rare to die in the middle of the game because of the partner reviving system but there were a few parts where we ended up dieing a bunch of times before passing.

But ill agree with the inventory system. i liked the RE4 suitcase a lot more. i think they decided to do it this way because they wanted it to be in-game instead of pausing it so i dont think they couldve used RE4\'s system even if they wanted to
I have only played the demo on the X360, and I think this game is definitely strong enough to warrant purchasing.  Not sure if I\'ll buy it now or later.  I\'m still trying to complete a couple other games...

I was also disappointed by the inventory system.  It takes four actions to change weapons!

1.  Y
2.  Stick or D-pad to move to the slot
3.  A to select
4.  A to equip (or move cursor and thus add another action!)

That is incredibly stupid.  They could have done it all with the d-pad like in Half Life 2 or Left 4 Dead, then most weapon changes would require one action.  That makes me think they left it overly complicated just to increase the difficulty.  To me that is a failure.  If they\'re going to make inventory actions occur in real time, they shouldn\'t build in additional hindrances.

In spite of that, I\'ll probably buy it and maybe I\'ll get faster with the inventory.

you actually can put 4 guns on the top, bottom, right and left middle boxes and select them using the d-pad. I think i figured that out after i made that post and it definitly helps.

but there are still times where ill have a rocket launcher in my inventory, but since i dont use it all the time i wont put it on one of those 4 boxes so ill have to do it the long way at a really crappy time

now my complaints with the inventory is 1) when you heal a player it always picks your best health so you end up wasting a full thing instead of just saving him with the half-herb and saving the good one and 2) you cant take the bullets out of guns in your out-of-game inventory and put them in guns in your current inventory

OK thanks for the info!  HAH
BTW I was out walking around and I just bought the game.  I\'m glad there\'s a better way to switch weapons.

I\'ve been playing the game for a few days, and now I have some other criticisms.  :)  Once more the inventory:

When both characters\' inventory slots are full, you can\'t GIVE or REQUEST ammo from the other character, even if you already have a slot with that kind of ammo that it could be combined with.  (When you pick up ammo, it combines automatically, but not between the characters)

You also can\'t combine herbs between characters.  You can only COMBINE stuff in one character\'s inventory.  Why?

Sheva will always pick up anything valuable like herbs and fill up her slots, even if you don\'t need that kind of item.  (Although she is good about giving you the ammo she picked up if it\'s for a weapon you\'re carrying)

You have to waste an item to clear an inventory slot, just to juggle ammo between the two characters.

When you DISCARD an item, it doesn\'t drop to your feet like it would in almost any other game ever written.  It just vanishes.  Therefore if you need to clear an inventory slot, you have to pick the least valuable item you have and just throw it away.  Am I missing something?

This stuff could have easily been done in a much more streamlined manner.  It really makes me wonder what the developer was thinking.

Other than that, it\'s still an AWESOME game.  :D
