Did anybody see this the other night?....i remember looking into the sky and knowing that the brighter star was indeed venus but i didn\'t know the other planet was jupiter,..anyway this is the closet(spel) that i\'ve ever seen venus...i love looking at planets and other solar systems and the study of vast galaxies in the universe...:nerd:....anyway it was really a magnificent sight...doesn\'t come around like this again until 2052. :fro:

yesterday afternoon, I was looking up at the sky and I saw something similar.  I thought I saw a moon, a big moon that looks bigger than the sun right next to it on view.  Then it seems like they merged.  Then a few minutes later, the clouds cover it and then it was gone.  I only have a few seconds of quick look.  I remember earlier that day they were saying something about Venus, Jupiter and the Sun closing by each other on Earth\'s view.

So, I guess the one I saw yesterday\'s afternoon was maybe Venus or Jupiter right next to the sun or something.  Or maybe all 3 of them were there but I didn\'t catch the 3rd one.

thinking about it, I think it was Venus that looks so big on Earth\'s view since Jupiter is way further from Earth than Venus is.  Even though Jupiter is a much bigger planet...

wish I had the energy to get the camera and take photos of it that day.
