The graphics engine is spectacular at 30 frames per second. Entire city locations are rendered in full as the player basks in an overload of sharp-textured buildings and fluid water effects. At peak areas, the engine shines with rooftops as far as the eye can see, and moonlight that etches a glimmer of a calm ocean.
Animations are well-constructed as Drake stumbles, grabs, and hangs on for dear life in each situation. His genuine reaction to extraordinary circumstances evoke a sense of peril and humor.
The soundtrack is high quality, with blaring orchestral themes of dashing heroism, mystical locals, and intense drum beats in battle.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves for PS3 is a stellar action title that is not only a killer app for the Sony hardware, but a new leap in the action genre.

The graphics in this game really shine. As my non-gamer roommate who is fond of watching me play games observed, "Wow! This is incredible. It looks like a travelogue!" And indeed it was. Many times it seemed like something you might see on the HD National Geographic channel. Throughout the game there are carefully placed spots that if you take the time to stop and notice them, offer incredible views that show off the sheer hours of work it must have taken to construct these marvelous landscapes. The character models are equally impressive, created in loving detail with every pore intact. If this is what a company can do with graphics this early in the PS3\'s lifespan, imagine what games will look like five years down the road.
