Bought it on the 360 last week, already beat the main story (takes about 30 hours). I noticed some aliasing issues on some of the cut scenes but none of the slow down I heard about for the 360 version. Might have been a bit prettier on the PS3, but oh well.
I actually really enjoy the new battle system, the battles are MUCH faster than any of the other game. You have to give it some time though, it isn\'t until chapter 9 (13 chapters in all) or so that you can really open up the system to do what you want it to do. The first 2/3rds of the game is a tutorial, which is a shame seeing as they put a lot of time in the world building for that part and just half-assed the part where you spend most of your time with your fully opened up battle system.
Oh and as far as the story is concerned, it\'s standard, run of the mill FF stuff. Don\'t expect it to blow you away, it won\'t. The voice acting was hit or miss, a lot of the later lines just fall flat (the actor who plays sazh seems to be the only one who could consistently deliver his lines, despite how cliche they were). It doesn\'t detract from the story, but it certainly doesn\'t add anything to it either.
I realize I\'m sounding harsh, but I really do like the game, I just wish they would have done some things differently. I absolutely love the new battle system, and the story is passable, I just wish pulse wasn\'t such a bore in comparison to cocoon.
