Nobody started a thread.  This might be a bigger show than the Superbowl.  Let\'s see if he lives up to god-like imagery were shown on TV everyday.

All I have to say on this is...

Yay for more of the same!  Change is just a word, nothing will change.
\"In the last 12 months 100,000 private sector jobs have been lost and yet you\'ve created 30,000 public sector jobs. Prime Minister, you cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecidented engorgement of the unproductive bit. You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt.\" - Daniel Hannan

I\'m glad you can see into the future...you must have a kickass crystal ball at the crib...or did Ron Paul pay you to say that?

It\'s sad that you are hollow already at such a young age.  If only you could believe in something greater than the cash in your wallet.

Obama is just a man.  His strength is not in himself, but in the power he awakens in the american public.  We all have work to do to correct the problems in our economy and the injustices suffered by those with fewer resources.  Consider sacrificing some of your time, your labor, and maybe even a little of your money to support your fellow man.

On the other hand maybe you think there is no problem and you\'ll choose to do nothing.  That is up to you.

if you\'re so certain nothing will change, why were you so against him? would expect a lot more indifference and not so much \'its the end of the world\' and \'we\'re going to be a socialist country now\'.

Mr. Kennedy is a heap of contradictions.  Or maybe it\'s just doubletalk.

Great point Viper

If only the media didn\'t beat this day into me every waking moment I\'d be able to enjoy it a little more.

I\'d be much more willing to donate my time/money/effort if the government didn\'t take it from me with the iron fist that they rule.

As for my indifference now as opposed to earlier.  There\'s nothing I can do now, Obama is president for at least the next four years.  If you look back in July I came here preaching how meaningless this election was.  McBama was going to get elected one way or another.

Sorry for speaking my mind, apparently this kind of speak is prohibited under Obama\'s rule.  Freedom... Liberty... now THAT is something I can believe in.

I\'ll just sit back and continue to make snarky comments, cause that\'s what I do.  I have every right to now that our country is officially an obamanation.

Yes, because we prohibited you from speaking your mind . Grow up.  We have just as much of a right to call you out on your comments as you have making them.

Brilliant.

If I were making complaints about Bush you\'d all be joining in with me.

Stop this "I take the high road" attitude.

Just because you don\'t agree with me doesn\'t make me wrong. Everyone thought the world was flat at one point, that doesn\'t make them right.

Whatever, I\'ll voice my opinion, and I welcome the backlash.

It\'s not what you say, Kennedy, it\'s how and when you say it.  Everyone here knows your views on Obama.  Starting a thread to reiterate it now just sounds like trying to rain on the parade of those happy about this day.

Also, you know...criticize him once he does something wrong, not before he does.  If you\'re already criticizing him, it detracts from your credibility when he actually does fuck up.

Ok then.

I found his speech to be rather "stock".  By that I mean it seemed like one cliche after another.

The poet was also annoying, could she have been any more monotone?

Other than that, no gripes yet.  Just not getting my hopes up.

I was half expecting someone to take a pop at him all through todays events for some reason, from the moment he appeared in public, to the very end when he entered the bulletproof glass booth. I was just aanticipating the bang then him slumping forward.
Don't waste your words I don't need anything from you. I don't care where you've  been or what you plan to do. I am the resurrection and I am the light. I  couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as I'd like.
