I bought it. It\'s a cheap ring. Nothing special. It seemed like the right move at the time, in hindsight it wasn\'t.

Or..

"I\'m going to buy her this ring.."

It\'s not...

"I buy her the ring..."

"I\'m going to bought her this ring.."

You have to realize that you\'re already using past tense with the word DID.

"Did she buy?"

when you say "did she bought" you use past tense twice....
