RNC elects first afri. american leader

Hmmm...to show that they are changing their ways, i guess the conservatives are displaying their "me too " attitude as if to say "see we have a black leader as well,..just like Obama..:thumb:".......They are a party in shambles and this is a pathetic attemp to show that they are in touch with minorities by picking an afri american as their RNC chairman.

This is just as pathetic as McCain picking Palin just so can he can get hillary voters...again the conservatives are picking their leaders for all the wrong reasons...you think if they would\'ve won the election that this guy would\'ve been the RNC chairman?......hell to tha no!!...

If they didn\'t choose a black guy they\'d be considered racist by somebody.  Who honestly cares

Where have you been? The conservative party has always been known to be the group of old racist white men....;)  The conservatives have always carried mostly whites while the dems carried mostly minorities. The republicans lost not because they didn\'t have enough minorities on their side, they lost because of their policies over the past eight years.

They can still hold on to their core values without havin\' to act like all of a sudden they need to have a minority as a showpiece. I was just pointing out how painfully obvious they were trying to assert this.

Wow, Obama gets elected and you cheer (and claim its not because his skin color).  Michael Steele gets elected and you claim its only because of the color of his skin.

Is there a chance Michael Steele is actually the right guy for the job?

The conservatives have been stating all week that they need to expand their party and reach out to minorities....then they hire this guy....do you not see that they are doing this for all the wrong reasons?

I admitted i was happy that Obama was elected, but not only because of his skin color, it was also because of the symbolism behind it, and it showed how much america is becoming more tolerant of race relations. If it was all about race for me, i would\'ve thrown my support behind Al Sharpton and that other Afri american woman in the last election, and i clearly did not.

Obama was also elected by the american public. This guy is just a cardboard set-up prop showpiece bein\' used by the conservatives.

I attack Obama on policy that doesn\'t work.  Bailouts don\'t work.  Printing more money makes things worse.  And yes, these are things the Bush administration did as well, and I don\'t approve.
