LOS ANGELES – "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" isn\'t due in theaters until next month, but the prequel has already hacked its way online.
A high-quality, full-length work print of the 20th Century Fox film appeared online Tuesday evening. The studio said it had the file removed, but copies quickly propagated and continue to appear on several file-sharing Web sites.
The movie focuses on the beginnings of Hugh Jackman\'s clawed Marvel superhero Wolverine and is set for a May 1 release.
Fox vowed in a statement Wednesday that the source of the "stolen, incomplete and early version" of the movie would be prosecuted and said the FBI and MPAA are investigating. The studio also insisted that the version of the film posted online was "was without many effects, had missing and unedited scenes and temporary sound and music."

I\'m always baffled by people who watch these pirated movies with no concern about the choppy low res video, crappy two channel audio, missing visual effects, and incomplete score. Even if it\'s a pirated version of a film that\'s already been released on DVD, the video quality has got to be dogshit compared to the source DVD or BluRay release. Don\'t they have to recompress the video and audio to make it small enough to transfer over the internet?
 
The experience of viewing a film in one of our high quality Los Angeles theaters is so superior to even my above-average home theater, that a pirated movie would never be acceptable. But that\'s just me, Mr. Vegas.

the only reason to go to the theater, for me, is for the sound. i have decent sound from my computer speakers but i still get paranoid that it\'s so loud the neighbors hear the bass for 2 hours straight. hate how all movies have super quiet dialogue and loud-as-balls sound effects

i\'d really be down for transformers 2 to skip the theaters and go straight to blu ray, come to think of it

Meh. Don\'t worry about them. My sister-in-law is in the movie business and gets to see pre-release movies. I have the chance to see them but it\'s in California.
