You guys have to understand LIC. Roll with his insults. Don\'t hurl stuff back at him. Example: He said I was a fag one time. I told him I\'d suck his dick if it wasn\'t so small. He left me alone. I may have hurt his feelings. :p

It\'s more fun to call him out on his bullshit.

Maybe I could roll with his insults if they were actually funny.

It\'s a nice guitar, Schecters are very underrated guitars. Their necks tend to be quite thick though, atleast the ones I\'ve played, prefer thinner ones myself.

As Luke said, you can go metal thrashing mad with that EMG 81 bridge pickup. And that 89 is coil splittable so you should be able to get some softer tones out of it. If anybody tells you that you can\'t get nice tones out of EMG\'s don\'t listen, but it does take more effort. Try lowering the volume, it helps a lot. Also if it feels dry you can do an 18w mod to EMG\'s that gives them more headroom.

But congrats on it, you better post some pics of this bad boy when it arrives. Of the Schecters I\'ve seen I\'ve always had a bit of an hard on for the Jeff Loomis signatures, they\'re just schweet.

Disagreement.  I can\'t stand 7 string guitars.  I like to be able to wrap my thumb around the top of the fretboard on occasion.  Does anyone still revere Jimi Hendrix?

well, not a fan of 7 strings either. They\'re fun to play and and all but I prefer the feel of the six string neck. Only have one 7 string so far and it\'s just a cheap Ibanez. Played an Ibanez Universe the other day though, it was lovely, even for a seven string.

But seven string or not, the Jeff Loomis signature is a gorgeous guitar, and it\'s nicely specced. It\'s not just a run of the mill model with a name slapped on it like most signature guitars. Also.... I have a thing for maple necks

I mean... it\'s a beauty

I didn\'t realise being aussie had anything to do with my joke.

ps...
you\'re the joke.
:fighting:

Thnx for the replies guys, i\'ve ordered the case and getting the guitar hopefully next week too. Basically i\'ve ordered them separate to dodge around having to do a declaration to customs for buying more then 1000Aud worth of goods.

Basically anything over 1g = 10% GST which is calculated on the cost of the goods + shipping and insurance + duty. The duty rate on guitars is 5%, so basically i\'d be look at around another 300 bucks on top.

I\'m getting the guitar for around 900 Aud, which is a lot better then paying $1350 for it here. The case is about 260 including shipping. So all up i\'m getting the guitar and case for the price of the guitar here.

Nevr played a 7 string, same as Cored, tho, I almost exclusively use my thumb to fret the low E on barre chords, so that wouldn\'t really work. (I smashed my left wrist when I was 14, so I can\'t do it any other way...)

schecters are quality made, that\'s for sure, but I will always be a Les Paul man...
