Whats with all the north american fans jumping on the mourning bandwagon? well thats a dumb question, I know what its about. But come on, if you interviewed someone off the street this time last week about Michael Jackson you would of gotten an immensely different response.

To be fair people have been calling MJ a legend and an icon well before he died so its not completely surprising  but I didn\'t expect this kind of reaction here in the west. I pictured the majority of people would be being smart asses like Cerb and Chiz lol :D

Maybe mainstream media feels like shit now for spending the past decade tearing down everything the guy built, and innocent guy (in the eyes of the law anyways). Or maybe its that don\'t know what you got till its gone thing. Ah well, a shame he is gone all the same.

Wouldn\'t label myself as an extreme fan but I knew pretty much all the singles, the ones everyone else knows, and always really enjoyed them.  Sad about Farah and Ed McMahon too.

Celebrity death rule of 3 strikes again!! and there are still 3 perfectly healthy  Jonas brothers walking around :(  and the reaper takes the King of Pop? What a waste.

EDIT: PS I read his funeral will be paid for in cash. They don\'t take plastic.

don\'t get me wrong, I always had admiration for him as a singer, but tward the end, he did become a sad character.

I still have a lot of his old stuff on cassettes somewhere from way back when.

and when I did hear about it, I was genuinely somewhat saddned by it.

as for the kiddyfiddling thing, I don\'t buy into  it. I think he did sleep with these kids, but only as the mind of a kid himself. having said that, there is no excuse for a grown man sleeping with young boys.

the worst thing he ever did was offer to settle out of court the first time round, that was like a bathroom light to a moth, all sorts of crackpots with extortion on their mind came crawling out of the woodwork looking for a slice.

like I said, I was genuinely saddened by his death, but at the same time still think it\'s not a totally bad thing to have a crack at his expense, I mean, fuck, he\'s dead anyway, like he gives a shit.

ps. he\'s not being buried, he\'s being recycled.

Well said.
I also wish the first trial was not settled out of court. Weather he would of been found guilty or not it would of at least been closure to the whole ordeal. If he was found innocent maybe the 2nd kid wouldn\'t of tried to get a payday because as you pointed out it did bring a ton of leeches out of the woodworks, and if he was guilty well it still would of been an ending still. Now its always gonna be hanging around him there in the background. With that said obviously thats not the first thing the public seems to be focusing on since he died. Which I think is a good thing.

And I also agree its not bad to have a crack at his expense. The dude did dangle a baby over a balcony after all.

But i\'ll always miss black Michael Jackson :D

Miss him too, but I was never a huge fan of him. Always found him talented as fuck but not a superfan.

I was looking forward to see what his last 50 shows was going to be about.. maybe something to relight his career? We\'ll never know now.

From all accounts, the rehearsals looked like the MJ of old. A 50 dancer should not be able to keep up with 20 yr old dancers.

the ironic thing is that death is the best career move he\'s made since thriller.

it\'s just said on the news that sales in his music have increased by almost 900% since he died.

they are also suggesting that jacko could hold all spots in the top 10 tomorrow from the sales of the last 48 hours alone.

Only the English call him Jacko.  I always found that totally bizarre.

He was an American, yet so important to the rest of the world that other nations have their own custom nicknames for him.

actually, it\'s not just the english, more like the entire english speaking world.

he kind of brought it on himself as well, the phrase was coined after the stories emerged of him living in a hypobaric chamber, and allegedly being obsessed over the bones of the elephant man along with a whole heap of other bullshit. these stories were circulated by the man himself, so the ultimate blame for the inspiration of the name lay with him..

He\'s become sort of a pariah here in the States since his second child molestation case. It\'s nearly impossible to have a conversation about MJ without someone mentioning it and ruining whatever accolades someone made about him.

If by the entire English speaking world you mean the United Kingdom, then yeah, you\'re right.

Trust me, we don\'t call him that in the United States.  We have other bad names for him like "Pedophile."

WHOo\'s NEXT!
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Fuck. That\'s more of a surprise to me than MJ. I like his show he was in called "The Pitchmen".
