I don\'t really care too much either for celebs, but mj\'s memorial did have some heartwrenching moments.....usher did great...lionel richie sang that classic "jesus" song from when he was with the commodores...and lastly....even tho the news have been playin\' it over and over...the part that had me rollin\' a tear back was when his daughter spoke....i had to man up a bit there.

Some say the coverage was over the top, but i don\'t think so.....everybody back in tha day had the michael jackson jacket or was influenced by him in some manner (music wise)...and the guy was practically known and imitated all over the globe....everything should die down a bit now tho....but that memorial was a great send off for him.

I love how CNN is covering the funeral of MJ and the ticker news underneath is showing 163 deaths in India and various other places.

I didn\'t watch a thing.  I like most thought Michael was great, but that was so long ago that I honestly couldn\'t care less.  Either he hasn\'t come out with anything decent or my taste is just different.

Yeah I think the love for him from his fans has to be a nostalgia thing. For I\'d say at least the last decade, he\'s just been a media/tabloid joke, which is a shame.

yea..i dont even think he released a popular song since the early 90s

im still more disappointed heath ledger died out of any of these since there wont be any more jokers like him without coming across as a hack. he still had stuff to contribute.

Bill May\'s death saddened me. MJ? Not so much.

I liked his songs before he switched to pop music. Off the Wall album, IMO, is his best work.

Lots of disco,funk..etc all in Off The Wall.

I have to disagree. Pop songs back in those days were by the likes of ABBA, David Cassidy, Olivia Newton-John, ELO, Andy Gibb etc.

Sure a lot of Off the Wall songs made it to pop stations but that\'s what pop stations are about: Playing the Top 40 popular hits.

I thought the memorial was very nice, got to me a few times especially when his little kid was talking.

Too bad his family couldn\'t intervene and get him off those drugs.

the only part that remotely got to me was when jermaine sang smile, I don\'t think the children needed to be put into the limelight like that.

I also found it odd that a black family could be so openly nurturing of a white child that they surely must have suspected had no real jackson blood running through her veins.

And there is no African American blood in that girl.

MJ was\'t homosexual or heterosexual. The man never had a boyfriend or girlfriend. He did like kids around him though. Wierd.

And seeing the documentaries of him now when he was still black, he was a good looking guy. Why he had to get all butchered up like that is beyond me.

They said him and rowe had sex. I dunno if they did or not. They also said he slept with lisa marie. I don\'t think the man died a virgin.
