Sarah Palin in the news again
« on: July 03, 2009, 12:34:19 PM »
In a press conference Friday, Alaskan governor Sarah Palin said, "It is my duty to always protect our great state."

Then she resigned.

Apparently, Alaska is safer now.

I can\'t believe she actually thinks she can win in 2012.

She resigns in the middle of her first term?....because some in the media have attacked her children?(Letterman)....she made comments about that, but she also made comments that people have been attacking her youngest son who i think has some type of disorder....i really can\'t recall anybody talking about her son, but even if they were this is a reason to just up and leave?

She gives other reasons but the main reason she\'s residing it seems is because of her children...i don\'t know....her press conference was kinda weird....she states she wants to make an impact by being on the outside, but she held the highest office in her state, I think she could\'ve made a bigger impact by staying on as governor. If she plans on making a run in 2012, the action she takes here is not a good look. It looks like she\'s just giving up.

If so, that\'s a good reason.  Maybe she never should have accepted that VP offer from the GOP.

Why does everyone hate Palin so much?

Does she eat babies or something?  Isn\'t Alaska rated as one of the most free states in the nation?

From what I can tell...

Some people don\'t like her because of her conservative Republican views. Those people do still like her because she\'s hot. Those people probably feel bad that her feelings are hurt. And those people have nothing against Alaska.

Just like disliking Obama because he is a Marxist/Socialist.  :thumb:

I\'d like to highlight the word "some" in that sentence.  Just like some people don\'t like Obama because of his socialist views.

There\'s nothing wrong with conservatism, it\'s been guiding this country for the majority of its lifetime.  Buy hey I guess there are people who don\'t like liberty, low taxes, and small government.

I think she quit because of the $$$ available in the private sector is too tempting.  She\'ll be on the Fox News dole any day now... along with her putting out a book or two.

Hey, if you can\'t beat them (the media), then you might as well join them!  (I can\'t blame her).
