\"In the last 12 months 100,000 private sector jobs have been lost and yet you\'ve created 30,000 public sector jobs. Prime Minister, you cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecidented engorgement of the unproductive bit. You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt.\" - Daniel Hannan

He\'s right.....i\'ve even heard one republican stating that by voting against his bill, we\'ll "break him"...those are the types of a$$holes that will vote against anything democratic,..no matter if it\'s a good bill or not.

As far as trying to bring folks together....he\'s trying to do that...his stimulus package actually had alot of republican input.....he\'s patiently working with republicans on the healthcare scenario....he has his own thoughts on healthcare, but he\'s also letting congress come up with their own plans to see if something better comes out of it...in other words he\'s not just ramming his personal plan thru,..he\'s giving others a chance including repubs, to shape healthcare.
knowledge, wisdom & understanding..these are the basic fundamentals of life

if you can\'t amaze them with brilliance, baffle them with bullsh*t....

So you agree that he\'s two-faced?

Finally!

Is there supposed to be some point in that video?

Because if so, it\'s weaker than an Applebee\'s Pina Colada.

He wants to unite and divide at the same time!

Oxymoron!

Does not compute!

In actuality though, I have never seen a bigger divide in this country since Obama became President.  People are angrier now than ever and are blaming it on their fellow (albiet wealthier) citizens.

You have a really short memory.  Or maybe you weren\'t paying attention to politics during the Bush administration?

Just because there are some inarticulate old crazies coming out of the woodwork to howl about fictitious threats to their medicare benefits, doesn\'t mean the nation is more divided than it was under Bush.  It is in fact considerably less so.  You may recall that President Obama won in a landslide, and those supporters are still holding out a lot of hope that he will overcome the nattering nabobs of negativism such as yourself.

I see a lot more hate now than I did 12 months ago.  End of story.

And by your negativity was well received during the Bush administration.  What\'s fair is fair.

A lot of the people who are bent out of shape have been misinformed by conservatives. Republicans have always been vicious and they\'ve turned it up for the health care issue. A lot of it is misguided, ignorant anger. Basically, sheep who have been told to be angry.

The only thing to be upset about is that taxes might go up if we don\'t cut spending elsewhere. Health care for all is a no-brainer, funding it is the only issue worth discussing.

Is there a picket line I can join for that sentiment?

The worst thing of all is that with all the circus surrounding this issue, distracting from it, I get the feeling no one is going to end up even looking at being fiscally responsible. That\'s where we need to be united, making a plan that makes sense. We voted for the plan, the nation wants one, but please make it the best plan possible. Anyone?

Yes fucking way.

If I say anything bad about Obama I am automatically deemed a racist.  Were there healthcare riots prior to Obama... no, because when people said they didn\'t want it they actually stopped.  All the sudden these "representatives" don\'t care what their constituents think anymore and are just pushing along their agenda.

Obama and Hillary weren\'t hiding this health care idea. People knew what they were voting for.

Health care is the divisive issue du jour, but just because some conservatives are riled up doesn\'t mean the nation is angrier than ever. If anyone out there is deeming you racist for having a dissenting opinion, tho, I hope you\'re deeming them an idiot in return. There\'s no excuse for that shit.

Yeah, I don\'t think anyone called you a racist.  No need to play the victim.

BTW, there were no healthcare riots during the Bush administration because people were too busy rioting about Bush\'s unncecsssary wars, curtailing civil liberties, and inept response to natural disasters.

Ummm... I think its more than just "some" - there have been riots at just about every town hall meeting.

And here\'s a "Representative" who states he would go against his constituents even if it was 80/20 in favor of rejecting the bill.  Isn\'t a representatives job to represent his people?  Not just push his own agenda?
