i like many songs from the 90s.  But I like New Wave and Disco from the 80s.  I think New Wave were from the 70s.  I also like Techno songs too.  I love the technowave mix songs from Vietnamese and Vietnamese Americans in USA that were mixed from disco songs from the 80s and damn they have lots of great songs there.

I think the song "Right Here Waiting For You" is an 80s song that were awesome but its not a disco song though.

80s disco songs that i loved are:

CC Catch - Soul Survivor
CC Catch - Are You Man Enough
CC Catch - Like A Hurricane

and many more...:D

i like a good amount of 60s and 70s bands..but not much for the 80s. just like random songs more than bands with most 80s music

but, this definitely saved metal from the hair bands. wish i couldve seen them during these days

Jeff Buckley, Hallelujah.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKnxmkOAj88

On the evening of May 29th, 1997(he was 31 years old), while on board a van driven by his roadie Keith Foti, was heading to the recording studios, passing along the Wolf River, he asked the driver to stop, having wanted to take a bath. Previously he had been swimming in those waters; then he dived into the river, however, wearing the clothes and boots, coming up the pylons of the motorway bridge (singing the chorus of Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin), at the same time a boat was passing, creating a vortex that  probably sucked him. The singer disappeared from the sight of Keith Foti, who called the police who, despite having ordered the dredging of the area, found nothing.
Quote

« Jeff Buckley\'s death was not "mysterious," related to drugs, alcohol, or suicide. We have a police report, a medical examiner\'s report, and an eye witness to prove that it was an accidental drowning, and that Mr. Buckley was in a good frame of mind prior to the accident. »

NO.  Like A Hurricane from CC Catch.  I didn\'t know Adam Sandler sings a song named Like A Hurricane unlike i searched it on youtube and i remember seeing him singing some song like that on david letterman back in december 2008.  I used to record David Letterman and Jay Leno to tivo and then to dvd recorder back then.

By the way, I watched all of the video links you guys posted, i skimmed through some songs because it was all right for my taste.  I prefer pop, disco, techno, classical music more.  but i gotta admit the guy playing the guitar for the song "down under" is amazing.

I remember the first time I heard of Jeff Buckley was 3 years ago when Jason Castro did a cover song of Hallelujah back then on American Idol.  I remember reading a little of his biography on IMDB.com on how he died from boat accident or some sort of water accident.  Sad.  I like his raspy voice when he sang Hallelujah and his high falsetto note at the end.  Rest in peace.  May he and everbody who are gone went to heaven and live happy forever.:)

Nice thought Paul.

Falco died very young, like Jeff, but in a car accident; it\'s very sad, and me like you wish they rest in peace.
