Favorite Final Fantasy: Both FF 7 & 8 are great. I love FF 7\'s story, and I love FF 8\'s artistic style and characters. FF 6, from what I\'ve played, seems already a stupendous game.. but I can\'t get very far without SNes screwing up. Same deal with FF5. Maybe I oughtta just get the Anthology for the PSX. The older ones for the NES are annoying, IMO. RPG\'s from the 8bit generation just can\'t grasp my interest for some reason. Not to mention that the NES\'s color pallate makes the games almost unbearable.
Favorite RPG of all time: For console, I\'d say Phantasy Star 4. Excellent story, Excellent Characters (Aliz Rules!), Excellent artwork, Excellent game play.. the list just goes on.
Overall though, I\'d say Quest for Glory for the PC is my favorite RPG.. even if it\'s an RPG/Adventure. I loved the highly configurable character, multiple story lines depending on the class you choose, humor, The focus on improving specific stats as opposed to "Leveling up", well developed NPC personalities, Realtime battles, style, settings (Only RPG I know that has ancient African & Slovic settings), music... everything. However the feature I like the most, one that\'s rarely found in RPG\'s, is the ability to save your character off at the end of the game and then import him for use in the next game.
