Very disappointing. I expected a slam dunk for Krauss and instead saw a very poor example of civilized intelligent debate. Starting at the outset with the disrespectful and untenable notion of claiming ridicule as a legitimate tool in discussion, then thankfully failing to make real use of it, Krauss goes on to declare his opponents opening statements as pure nonsense without offering any solid explanation as to why. The debate deteriorates even further in the second half with incessant interruptions by Krauss throughout the other speakers limited time to respond. Quite childish imo.
The key to all religious turmoil/nonsense ; Krauss' statement "If you take the words (in this case the Quran) literally" That's a huge "if". Just because so many people have behaved in ignorance believing and misinterpreting words printed on paper as absolute literal instructions and accurate accounts authored in spirit by a supreme being doesn't mean that it is supposed to be viewed that way. Walk far enough along a path honestly objectively seeking spiritual truth and one should eventually realize such a book is not possible.
