The unfortunate thing about the Tom Green Show, is that it is really just a rehash of material that he has been doing for years, except with a larger production budget. Not that his bold and brash immature in-your-face schtick isn\'t funny, it\'s just that I have been exposed to his style for sometime. I live in the same city that he used to live in, and have experienced his show (on public access T.V.) during the years when his humour was, how do I say, less entertaining. Granted, the more recent footage of him crashing into store displays, people, etc. while pretending to be elderly, and incapable of driving his scooter almost makes up for it.
My friend\'s band was playing a festival a few years back, and thay had outfitted themselves with a sort of sleazy drag get-up, and co-incidently The Tom Green Show was being taped only a couple of buildings away. So after their set, and a few beverages, they took-it-upon-themselves to be one of his unannounced guests that evening. To keep it short, five drunken men in drag charged in on a very unassuming, and not so impressed Tom Green. A friend of the band videotaped the whole escapade which revealed a not so humourous and understanding Tom. Needless to say, the incident was edited out.
