Add-ons will be PS2\'s glory!

Eh. Add-ons should be approached with caution on the consumer end. I don\'t care if Sony knows what happened with the Sega Cd or not. Any add-on should be approached with caution. They always have a huge chance of failure. I doubt the broadband has one though, just because it will probally only be around $60 dollars. As for the HD, I can say I think it has a nice chance of failing. But, thats my opinion.:) Either way, I\'ll buy it, but only because I always buy the cheap-half-ass add-ons. Which reminds me, anyone know an auction where I can pick up a 64DD, not for over a 1,000? Each auction I\'ve found is going up to a 1,000 dollars + . :(

Just because its Sony does not mean they can\'t f\'up.  If the HD or modem cost more than $70 you can forget it.

And I suppose you think the HDD is a bad thing!

It probably is a very good thing, but I don\'t want it to be very costly.

It shouldn\'t be over a hundred dollars. I might be tempted to buy games instead.

well people have been saying there were 2 different kinds coming out, with the difference being in the storage space, but both are "supposedly" under $100.

Add-ons are ok, I love my Sega CD! :D But don\'t assume Sony wont make the same mistakes as Sega. They made the system difficult to develop for, like Saturn. They have at least 2 addons coming. They undersupplied the launch like N64. Yeah, Sony\'s learned a lot.....

Uhhhhh, are you really stupid? They could not meet demand. They under-supplied. Go grab a dictonary sometime a learn you a few werdz. Broadband adapter, HD. 1, 2. Count along with me junior. So what if they package them together, which by the way, is pure speculation. They have a less than great chance of doing well. Who says PS2 is hard to develop for? Oh I don\'t know, a few dozen major developers maybe? I\'m biased? **** you you little bastard. Your so blinded be propaganda apparently, your not thinking strait. Or maybe your biased. Either way, you have no facts to discredit a single statement I made.

Give me links to a dozen dev\'s who say its hard to make games on the ps2 then I will belive you
the only company to say its hard to is odd world, and its their first 3D project and they are lazy, lol. You say I have no facts, what about yourself, you are a pathetic soul junior!
If 1.3 million consoles is not enough for a console in the first three months in ONE county, then they have a VERY popular console on their hands

I can\'t give you links to magazine articles, but when I have time l8er, i\'ll pm you a list of magazine interviews that support that.

Like I said, the add-ons being one is speculation. And i\'ll give you the benefit of the doubt, and say they are 1. So what? NO add-on has been popular. Especially when XB will have it built in.

As for under production and such, yes. Sony does have a pop. console on it\'s hands. That doesn\'t mean they produced enough. They cut the initial launch in half for christsakes! That, by any definition, is underproduction.

I want to know in what way I\'m biased. Anti Sony? I\'ve defended Sony and PS2 dozens of times in this forum alone, not to mention the numerous \'discussions\' I\'ve had with PS2 bashers in my everyday life. I like PS2. I like my DC. I like my N64. I like my Saturn. I like my PSone. Ect... How am I biased for stating knowledge I\'ve accumulated through enough the gaming media (sites, mag\'s, trade shows, etc.) to choke an elephant? Through 2 decades of being an avid gamer? I\'m going to go meditate. I need to relax....
