Like I said, Sony(notching at the top), and Sega(for a while at least), will be the survivors of the console wars.  Eventually NGC will take control, but X-box doesn\'t stand a chance.  In 3 years(from when X-box and NGC are released), Sony will be at the top, Nintendo battling right next to it, and X-box, the biggest upset.  By this time Sega will probably working on a release for their new system.

Glad that Dreamcast is doing nice also.

But opinions can change, I\'m afraid. X-box is still so far away that ppl are hesitating to decide whether to buy it or not yet. But I have nothing to complain here.

Still, image tells more than a thousand words, correct?

sorry, mm, not this time :D

Um, you guys don\'t get it do you? Online polls mean absolutely nothing.

Look at the above example,.. wow a whole 3912 votes. Of the ~900k PS2\'s sold, and ~4million DCs, what the hell do 3900 votes mean? Exactly, nothing.

Ah c\'mon mm, you\'re taking it to the extremes. ;)

The majority of console owners are the casual, and they don\'t even know about online polls. The point I was making is that it doesn\'t affect the future nor determine the future of a console. 4000 (online) voters are an extremely small piece of the huge pie of videogamers.

datamage is correct. Although these polls are interesting, the casuals will decide who wins the console wars.  I read somewhere that 94% of developers thought that the PS2 will win the console wars...wonder if that means anything???

yeah

http://www.coremagazine.com only had 3400 votes.  I NEVER HEARD OF THEM or that site.  95% of "causal gamers" dont know about that site either i bet.  at any rate, id LOVE to see how many votes ign.com receieved total.  i KNOW its pretty much a moot point.  the console with the best games will win, this has been proved all thru history.

CoreMagazine is decent. They are nothing horrible or great. I\'d be more interested in IGN, like you mentioned. They done a poll at one time, I believe. Maybe I\'ll go check out if you can see their past Polls and stuff.

Popularity contest can only last for so long. Console with the games will win by the end of the "term". Ahhhhhhhh. Who knows. Or even cares. It will be interesting with so many good consoles out.
