One Sentence Answers - Will Playstation 2 win the console war and why/why not ?

The idea is simple, no flames, arguments or bullsh[/i]it like that. If someone makes a point you disagree with then don\'t, just post your one sentence opinion and ignore all others, also you only need to post once. The point of this is to get many various concise opinions on the possible success of the Sony console and to go as far through the topic as we can without any flames and so forth. Remember just simple one sentence opinions as to why you think Playstation 2 may or may not win the upcomming console war.

I believe Playstation 2 will not the console war due to programming deficiencies and the premise of more capable consoles on the horizon.

It has the best chance of all the next gen consoles to do so. But we\'ll just have to wait and see.

Personally, I dont think any console will dominate this time around. The competition is way too good.

Even if one console does manage to dominate, it wont be by that much.

Trin, haven\'t you realized by now that no one will EVER take anything you say seriously?

I think the PS2 will barely come out on top of this war because it will already have a great gaming library out by the time Xbox comes out, it is a video game system and a DVD player all for $300, and the public already has a lot of trust in Sony because of their past success.

Well...I think PS2 will win the console-war but however I have to see what X-Box can do...it\'s really the main competitor of Sony...wait and see...
By the time X-Box will be released,PS2 will cost approximately 199-249$,with Great Next-generation games,Great exclusive games,on-line and episode-games,an
installed base of 15-20 millions units and developers are going to understand more and more how to push the Sony\'s wonderful beast and I\'m confident that in a year or two programming the PS2 will become as easy as programming a PSX1...so Microsoft will have to show something really interesting to capture our attention...and...yes...Microsoft can do it...wait and see...

Sony will not win. The NGC and the x-box are just too good. No dumb mistakes by anybody this time.

PS2 and X-box will be the future consoles and will proberbly boast each other up and both do very well, while dreamcast will become less competion and GC will not get its usual amount of fan buyers me for one. This is just an opinion.

exactly what I say...

PS2 will win because it had a year head start.  Dreamcast will live on but really isn\'t a potential competitant.  Sega really didn\'t have much to begin with cuz even with a year head start of Sony they didn\'t have a very good track record.  Sony\'s different though, it has a GOOD REPUTATION towards gamers from the Playstation and will have a whole year to build up a nice library and will have invaded lotsa homes. I know that many people that are waiting for the Gamecube and the Xbox will probably lose their patience and go for the PS2 and probably will be rewarded.

Yes ps2 will win. Every non bias site believes it. Sony have the best FAN and usersupport.
