When does online playing come?

Hey peeps i was wondering couple questions bout ps2 online..

1. When will it come for aussies? or usa?
2. Will it be cable internet or both?
3. can i use exsiting accounts with internet?
4. will there be monthly fees or any joining fees for ps2 online gaming? (apart from the isps)

nobody knows ????


But Tech TV reported that 25% of the USA will have Broadband cpabilities in 5 years,

I know I can\'t get DSL or Cable and I live 1 hour North of Seattle Washington and 3 miles outside the City Of Mt. Vernon Washington.

i\'d luv to play ps2 in me bedroom that\'d rock! sitting on bed playing something like fifa plz don\'t tell me it\'s not supported.. :)

Playstation 2 Internet services in the USA are firmly schedualed for launch in 2005, however in Australia is has been delayed until 2011...bummer.

2. Will it be cable internet or both?

It will be a T50 line capable of 10Mbps, much faster than Cable.

3. can i use exsiting accounts with internet?

Yes but Sony will be offering a similar service to Seganet, meaning internet access will be cheaper, faster and allow you access to Sony\'s online gaming server so you can enjoy such amazing titles as Fantavison Returns and Driving Emotion Type-S 2 Online.

4. will there be monthly fees or any joining fees for ps2 online gaming? (apart from the isps)

There will be an initial minor fee of $US599.00 for set up of the T50 connection plus an on going service fee of $US79.95 per month.

hmmmmmm I cant wait till they come out with the netplay peripheral for the PS2. Hopefully by then,  I will have changed my dsl modem/line and got fiber optic services. I just hope itll be compatible with the PS2.........I hope.......FIBER OPTIC DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.
