They will be having WWF RAW IS WAR as a launch title for the X-Box, they have finally convince me to get there system with this wrestling game.  Microsoft, you are a mean one, one particular title can change your whole mind.

The following is a press release, please credit Businesswire.com when using this.

WWF Raw is War\'\' Coming To Xbox; Microsoft Smells What The Rock Is Cooking

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 6, 2001--With help from Bill Gates and The Rock, THQ Inc. (Nasdaq:THQI) and JAKKS Pacific Inc. (Nasdaq:JAKK) today announced that the newest World Wrestling Federation(R) (WWFE) licensed video game, "WWF Raw Is War(TM)," is scheduled to be among the first wave of launch titles for the Xbox(TM) video game console.

The announcement came at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) during the keynote address of Microsoft Corp. chairman and chief software architect, Bill Gates. World Wrestling Federation superstar, The Rock, was also on hand to deliver the news. Set to release in the fall of 2001, "WWF Raw Is War" will feature graphics and gameplay never before possible with other game consoles.

"We\'re delighted to bring the proven World Wrestling Federation franchise to Xbox and very happy to work with Microsoft," stated Brian Farrell, president and chief executive officer, THQ. "`WWF Raw Is War\' will absolutely shine on this exciting new platform. The hard drive capabilities, alone, will open up some very interesting options for us to explore."

"We strongly believe that Xbox will be an excellent platform for the `WWF Raw Is War\' video game and we\'re excited to bring the most up to date capabilities to WWF fans worldwide," stated Stephen Berman, president and chief operating officer, JAKKS Pacific Inc.

"THQ and JAKKS have continually proven their ability to create authentic WWF entertainment on the top gaming platforms," said Stuart Snyder, president and chief operating officer, WWFE. "We expect `WWF Raw Is War\' for Xbox to continue that tradition."

"We couldn\'t be more pleased that `WWF Raw Is War\' is being created specifically to take advantage of the awesome power the Xbox brings," said J Allard, general manager, Xbox platform and third party relations. "It will be one of the key launch titles."

About "WWF Raw Is War"

Created by Anchor, the developers of the award-winning "Ultimate Fighting Championship(TM)," "WWF Raw Is War" will raise the standard by which all video games are measured, as The Rock, Chyna, and 35 other superstars are thrown into your living room like never before.

For the first time ever opponents will be able to grab clothing, announcers will provide in-game commentary on the fly, and audiences will scatter as the action spills out of the ring and into the stands. All-new backstage combat areas randomly change from venue to venue. Opponents can even be confronted on their way to the ring.

It\'s everything you\'ve come to expect from the wildly popular spectacle that is the WWF.

You\'re getting the system just because of a wrestling game?

I think I\'ll keep my opinions to myself for right now...

I\'m not a wrestling fan but that bit about grabbing onto clothes and the audience scattering sounds very cool.

The Game,
Hey, at least your pledging your support to a console because of a game you love rather than because it pushes more polygons or has more RAM than it\'s competetors.

I waso going to criticize you for getting it, then I decided to look at myself (to avoid any possible double standards :)) and thought, hey, I am getting a PS2 for TM: Black , Medal of Honor 3, and like 8 other games.

If MS announces it will have an ISS Pro by Konami\'s KCET team game released in North America for the X-Box, then they\'ll have already sold me a console.

Well, if you like wrestling games, IMO the best wrestling game ever is coming to DC, updated though. Fire Por Wrestling for Saturn is believed to be by many who have played it to be ther best. If you have a DC, and can import, I highly recommend it if you are looking for substance over style, this game reeks of it. Human is one of the best wrestling game makers. period.

Why not! Aren\'t games the main reason we buy consoles?

Wtf is with this crap about everyone being converted?  Do you people really believe this is to be a religion?  This is the second topic in a week talking about console "conversion" and it\'s pretty f*cking lame either way.  No offense tHe GaMe, but you caught me at a point where I refuse to put up with stupidity.  A simple "I\'m going to get an X-Box" would have sufficed... when you decide to get that sex change, then, and only then can you use that "converted" word because only then will the word have substance and meaning thanks to its context.  Or maybe, I\'m just going crazy.  In any case, it\'s just a dumb thing to say.  sorry.

I would buy X-box if I\'d have the money. Just for one reason. ( of course there will be many reasons to buy but this time i know only one reason why X-box is worth a buy ):

MUNCH\'S ODDYSEE

I was so pissed when I heard that OW Inhabitants jumped to X-box and made a contract total of the whole Oddworld serie!!

But that serie is one reason to buy X-box definetely...

but you got me to love my PS2 again, Altered ( well, I never stopped loving but now I almost had a heart-attack ), when you mentioned Medal of Honor 3. I didn\'t know the game was on produce but now that I heard... wow!

Gotta get that bloody game...

So far there isn\'t a single game that\'ll get me to beg, steal and kill for Xbox. I\'ll get one anyway, because there are many cool titles on their way. Just not a single killer right now - but then again, it\'s so early that they could easily announce a killer game or 5 before launch.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAPETIME!
(thanks Chizzy!)
