Unreal Tournament Question.. PC question.

It runs fine on my machine at full detail. I\'ve got a gerforce card. I also have Q3. But i rather UT.. With Tac ops and Strike force.. I rather it any day..
These mods make the game like Rainbow6.. More gameplay then shoot a fire.. With these mods u have too play it smart.
Once i\'ve got everything for ut. I\'ll get everything for Q3. :D

UT runs perfectly on my Elsa Gladiac (gf2 gts), but I have had some instability problems when oc\'ing passed 1Ghz.  Nothing major though, 900Mhz is more than enough.  The engine is admittedly pretty basic.

Q3a just blows UT out of the water in visuals (1600x1200... yum) whereas UT has better map designs and an overall more "fun feeling".  I guess that has something to do with the kickass announcer, variety of games, and multi-firing rocket launcher.

MM 3dfx is hasn\'t made a good product since the the V2.The V5 is a generation behind both the GF.2 and the Radeon.
It doesn\'t serve as a GPU.It doesn\'t have hardware T&L or Cubic enviroment mapping and both of these things are getting big in games now adays.
Although I will admit that the motion blur was impressive and it could do FSAA with less of a performance hit.
But sice nVidia bought all of 3dfx\'s technoligy we could see some interesting development in their next gen drivers and cards.Let\'s just hope ATi can keep  up a good compettion until Matrox unveals their G800.
And yes I have been suffering from the lack of Glide support in my GF.2GTS.
But the new Unreal.2 3d engine optimised for DirectX and will take advantige of all the new features in DX.8.Although I do prefer OpenGL DirectX seems to be surpassing it feature wise sadly.

Umm what... Buggy drivers. yea ok  I just use detenator drivers for my geforce card. I\'ve had NO TROUBLES yet with them. Or the updated drivers for my card.

3DFX is the past. I believe everything will end up Geforce\\3dfx chipsets.. As a standalone chipset 3dfx doesn\'t cut it. Not being a GPU is not a good thing in the way of graphics.. Games these days need some kind of Gpu on low end machines. I have a p2-700 with a Geforce DDR card. I get around 112 FPS in Q3. That\'s at a high rez too.

Dude if you want image quality get the Matrox g400 or 450 it\'s ramdac is at 360Mhz unsurpassed image quality. If you want both speed and quality get the ATi Radeon I\'ve been very impressed by what I\'ve seen of it.
And nVidia doesn\'t make buggy drivers and they are the only company to offer unified drivers.
If only 3dfx had come out with the V5 when the Ge-Force was introduced they might have slaughtered the rest of the competition.

I have a Matrox g400 and although it rocks for 2D and pure image reproduction, I prefer the Gladiac since I play more 3D intensive games.  And talk to any hardcore gamer or performance addict online.  9 times out of 10 they will have a nVidia gfx card in their computer or on their list of what to upgrade.
