Im just curious in what people use, know how to use, and if they would be interested in learing to use IRC..

Yes I have this thing called mIRC. I\'ve visited plenty of channels but either there\'s no one there or they just won\'t talk. At all. I\'d be interested in a good channel.

Yes and no. It\'s cool but you can\'t voice-chat over IRC.

But the voice chat would be cool, if it was larger and not so unstable.

Yeah I use IRc, Im on multiple servers all over the place.

There is one I am on all day... Its my friends

(if you want the address PM me) There are about 6 servers all tied in with each other across the US and Canada.  You can come in if you like.

Ok then, and the voice thing does not work that well, its way too un-stable...Plus you can tranfer files in IRC, which I think is a better feature.

Hmmm.. yes, the voice-chat should be modified if wanted to make it comfortable.

And comfortable it should be done.

I don\'t use the irc alot.And I do prefer the hear me thingie.Even though it\'s alive and hates us by randomly crahsing.

i use irc everyday for about 2 hours.
yes it would be good to have in replacement of the other chat.

I used to be on mIRC alot until for some reason I got banned from Dalnet.

EFNet is where you wanna go.  I always hang out in #ps2 and there are usually 100+ people in there and usually an interesting discussion to boot.  Here is an old explanation of how to set it up, though the graphics are down.

There are ops to ensure no one acts like an idiot and/or spams the channel.  You can only be an op if another op allows you to be.  The system works very well, but people (ops) can abuse their privilges and attempted channel takeovers can be a nuisance.

IRC is just simply, great.  I have learned how to build my own computer, which car stereo components I should look for and how exactly to install them, how to get 10x better at Tekken and meet other players in my area and beyond, which place to camp out overnight for the ps2, and how to get women.  Ok not how to get women, but you get the idea.  I also just got this link today.  If you want to talk about cars, go to #cars.  Which movie to see?- #movies.  Want to talk about God?- #christian.  Which DVD player to buy?- #dvd.  How to get thousands of dollars worth of programs for free?- #warez950  The list is endless.

Hey, that was you in #ps2. I know your name was familiar. I am in there alot. Some of my friends in there are Streko and faceless. COoL doodz. An IRC Chat for PS2 Central would totally rule.

Ahhh you know the infamous faceless master.  That guy is an op in like 38 channels.  I am under his power in 3-4 of them.  I\'ll see ya in #ps2!!

I guess I need to get cracking on an IRC server then...  I have a server going up as soon as I plug the damn thing in.  I just installed the latest ver of Linux, so it should be pretty easy to get an IRC server installed and running...


Till then...

I can not get onto any Efnet servers...!!!  They want this thing called IdentD running on my side... And the server I am on here does not have it running..  

SO until I get the one I want up, I am SOL for a ahwhile..
