In any argument, the first man to resort to personal insults is the first to lose. Hey Chrono, a USB port is a USB port, for Xbox you\'ll just have to buy an Xbox USB device, that\'s all...at least this insures that all perepherals will work on the Xbox...can\'t guarantee that with PS2. Bleem just keeps proving that backwards compatability doesn\'t mean squat. I don\'t think I\'m being presumtous when I say that there will be a BleemBox PSX emulator for Xbox (with better graphics I might add). DVD playback isn\'t an innovation for games and for the price of a remote, you can have it for the Xbox. IEEE 1394 (FireWire) is basically useless for a console, but then again, PS2 isn\'t a console it\'s a PERSONAL COMPUTER entertainment system. If you want to connect a second HDD or your Sony Camcorder up to your PS2, that\'s fine. However, all I care about are the GAMES. Sure, PS2 has a "modern design" just like that old Atari computer that it looks like (
I\'m just having fun with you now...I\'m not even going to try and convince you that it\'s wrong). Over 5000 modern gamers worldwide chose the Xbox design, so it must be modern. Truly expandable...oh boy. So you really want a PS2 upgrade ala the 32X? Well, I\'ll be dumbfounded! Oh boy...that one snuck up on me. Major plans, eh? I\'m sure Sega had major plans with the SegaCD and 32X. In a few words, don\'t bank on Sony crucifying themselves by releasing a PS2 upgrade. Xbox also has all pressure sensitive buttons (except the "Start" and "Back" buttons of course), so score one more for the Xbox. What\'s next? DVD medium, eh? Well, sorry but score one more for the Xbox...all games will be on DVD (you didn\'t think that you needed DVD movie playback to play games, did you? One word: Research. You should try it). The PS2 plays older games better? Sorry, but the Dreamcast does it EVEN BETTER and I\'m sure you already read my BleemBox statement. HDD and Ethernet, eh? That\'s nice. I wonder how many developers like a SEGREGATED MARKET. Congrats Chrono, you just bought yourself two novelty items. Words of wisdom: If it ain\'t in every PS2, it won\'t be used to great effect.
By matching you pound for pound and feature to feature, the Reverend thus proved that the PS2 won\'t be bringing anything new or innovative technology wise. Games wise? Well, that\'s a possibility. PS2 will have it\'s share of great games, but as far as technology is concerned, it has nothing that Xbox can\'t match (or better for that matter). All you want to do is argue and that\'s it. I had fun with this one. I actually thought you would THINK this out before you posted, but alas you have disappointed me again.
