Soul Calibra
I met him 15 years ago, I was told there was nothing left, no reason, no concious, no understanding and even the most rudamentory sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong, I met this 6 year old child with this blang pale emotionless face and, the blackest eyes, the devils eyes, I spent 8 years trying to reach him, and then another 7 trying to keep him locked up because I realised what was living behind that boys eyes was purly and simply evil.

Out of those two I would probably pick SC, though I really don\'t like either.  DOA2 is much better than both.

As for your question, I think SC plays a little faster.

Thats a tough one.
I think when playing with friends tekken is more fun (at least for). In soul calibur you can get away with alot of button mashing and the characters seem a bit unbalanced.
As far as a single player experience goes soul calibur not only beats tekken, but every other fighting game to come before it.
The story mode and collecting pictures to unlock secrets was pure genius. It would definitely benefit capcom to add something like this to the next tekken.

Not as much as it would benefit Namco.

I\'ve played both. I have SC. I\'ve played TTT quite alot.. Around 2 weeks 24/7 worth of time.

TTT gets my vote. SC is faster. But its more like a button masher game then TTT. I\'ve been playing SC A LOT. I\'ve been beatin by people that just get on and push anything. You pull off combos doing anything. In TTT if i fight a newbie. They don\'t stand or get a chance too touch me. SC is just too easy to play and do anything to win.  Being fast isn\'t always a bonus. When in comes down too it. TTT takes for more skill to play then SC IMO. Anyone can do anything in SC and win. Not anyone can do the same in TTT. IMO

My vote = TTT.

Well although they are both good games. Sc has to be the best hands down. Although TTT arcade is way faster than on ps2.

when is VFX coming out?? they would show it sometime this month

My vote goes to TTT **doh!!**
SC is good but is not very deep compared to tekken
no real combo\'s no real strategy involved

The first time I played it in the arcade I beat it  with 0 continues

Virtua Fighter 3tb gets my vote as well
« Reply #14 on: January 15, 2001, 07:57:09 AM »
Its the ONLY fighting game that requires massive amounts of skill, strategy and time. You can\'t master this in a day as in Soul Calibur or Tekken Tag Tournament.

That being said, I play TTT religiously, but have logged 60+ hourd on Virtua Fighter 3tb (and thats only while in the middle of 3 RPG\'s). Heh, that games da shiz.
