Do you think that Sony is the only one who would have access to a chip that fast??? Microsoft\'s console is going to be in the same position the PS2 is this time around. Everone is gonna wow at the Xbox2 simply because it will be more powerful than the PS3 (at least it might happen).

The reason I think that MS is gonna win the console war is cause its a software company, and Sony is a hardware company. Games sell the console, not the other way around. MS has a built in advatage from the begining cause they know how to make great games. Plus, they went around and had developers design the console, they didnt just lock themselves in a room and design this super hard mega computer like Sony did. Plus they have developers eating out of there hand with the idea of no licensing fees. That means its a one time charge for the Dev Kit and every dime you make is yours. That sweetens the deal alot of little developers.

I can see that your are very wise and informative and that you keep up to date. That is true waht you say, MS has done it right this time round, they made a console design to take advantage of the software developers. Instead of imposing there technical hardware they built it for the developers. Also EA played a big part in the deveopment of the xbox. They were there in the beginning. The question now remains, will ms after this console war, with the xbox2 stick to there bussiness plans and keep up the hard work, and passion they put into this console, or will they turn into  SONY in which they become so comfident and ****y that they decided to control the race. Well only time will tell.

exuse me...i dont know about you, but im looking forward to Sony\'s inhouse games, just a tad bit more than Microsofts.  Microsoft dont have a good reputation for making great games, nd Sony are beginning to catch up to Sega and Nintendo (although they do have a long way to go before they reach those heights)

thats not a built in advantage from the beginning because Sony make great games as well, and have been doing it for a while

i disagree sony dosen\'t make games(if they do tell me), they publish them. Gran turismo is by poly-something and those sports games are from 989. Now you could go and say well sony own\'s those company\'s, very true. Don\'t forgret MS own\'s bungie and who\'s knows what else they will buy later on. But i belive ms makes those pc sport games and flight simulator\'s etc... anyways it wil be interesting to see what happens with these two companys in the comming years, in regards to in house game development.

As for SEga and Nintendo they literally make there own games, and there games are better than ms and sony combined.

well, PSX2Central, i was referring to 1st and 2nd party games

and Sony\'s 1st and 2nd party games are already better than Microsofts and im looking forward to their upcoming games much more than Microsofts upcoming games

to tell you the truth im looking forward to them much more than Nintendos games (if it wasnt for Rare, i wouldnt like any of Nintendos Inhouse games)

I agree with you, microsofts games are often boring.

Flight simulator-**Yawn**
Midtwon maddness-crazy taxi is graphically and gameplay wise better
Age of empires-gets boring fast

Microsoft should just stick to the operating systems (make them for once bug free) and word processors

First off you must understand there are people calle dpc gamers out there, these people like those sort of games, i personally love flight simulators, they are amazing. Many console gammers(not all) i find could care less about pc type games, an i understand.

As for the comment about MS sticking to os\'s. Well i guess sony should just stick to there walkman\'s and minidisc.
By the way i have had minidisc for 2 years, any of you guys out there have minidisc. Also i have been reading that sony\'s minidisc are losing there edge to the other minidisc manufacturs

yes, you are right, there ARE pc gamers, but xbox is not a pc! **cough** **cough** it needs console game to succeed, otherwise no1 will buy it

It seems that all the xbox fanboys I\'ve seen are pc gamers
xbox was supposed to competing with the consoles, not with the pc

not really. Yes I will admit xbox will attract pc gamers on it no doubt. But my main hangout msxbox I find that more than half the people there are console players, alot of them coming from the dc. Yet I feel we are evolving into a time of gamers where all sorts of particular genres like the pc gamers are now becoming part of the console bussiness. Just look at the dc and psx2 they are porting pc games over there like crazy.

I know ms is reluctant to bring out a mouse and keyboard, cause it will set a bad image, but how the hell are you supossed to play fps with a cntroller that is insane it\'s dosen\'t work man. thrid pary will bring out the mouse that is for sure.

The Xbox is no more a PC then the PS2 is. Both will have \'net access and a HD. Big deal. That does not make them computers. People clump it together with a PC, because MS makes an OS. So what? Sony made CD players.

That said, I think the Xbox will prove to be a very good console. But Sony will probally "win" this generation. If they can secure some classic Sega games exclusve, like VF4, then Sega fans will have no choice but to buy a PS2.

R.I.P DC

i doubt that, first off sega will not give sony the upper hand, sure they will make games for them, SEGA wants to make money. Problem is the poeple that would buy a console for sega games, would be our hardcore sega fanboys, and most of them hate sony.

It makes me think living in clip who will sega favour more in this generation, who will they play favourites too, or will they take a equal content approuch.

Well, only time will tell, maybe e3 might shed some light.

I don\'t mind if people post about other consoles once in a while, but your such an enormous biased fanboy, it irritates just about anyone in this forum.
Everything you post turns out into some kind of fight about the xbox vs ps2.
just **** off, **** off I tell you.
there I said it, now I can go have a good time replying to people that I like.
