Xbox trademark disputes arise!
« on: February 07, 2001, 09:07:04 AM »
In an almost farcical dispute, a Florida-based electronics company appears to have provided the first major stumbling block for the hallowed Xbox console. (Why does every micron of controversy in this country have to come out of Florida?) The company, Xbox Technologies (formerly Nicollet Process Engineering), has apparently been communicating with the Microsoft corporation for the past several months, and eventually declared the rights to the Xbox brand. In a staggering lump of posturing, John Van Leeuwen, Xbox Technologies\' CEO, stated that if the two companies cannot reach some type of agreement then legal action will be taken against the software giant. While Xbox Technologies cannot force Microsoft to release the upcoming console with a different moniker, the company can declare an injunction. This, if approved by a judge, would effectively impede the platform\'s release!
He has the power of both worlds
Girl: What power… beyond my expectations?
AND IT\'S PERSONAL
Demon: No… the legendary Sparda!?
Dante: You\'re right, but I\'m his son Dante!
