But we still can\'t know if the final version, the one wich will be released, of VF4 will have 10,000,000 polygons. Very possible, but it could be just a product of Hype.

Only thing fighting against that 10000000 polygons is the fact that Sega\'s making its first game for PS2. Oh well, maybe not, if Sega is learning to use the PS2-toolkit very well and dive deep enough before releasing VF4.

Sega has the talent.

ahh how i have been longing for the day that sega and sony will unite to become a super team and tear the gameing industry up, this naomi2 thing make it look so amazing, full power, thatisnt the full power of the ps2, not yet, we will see the full power byt he endof next year probably, then ps2 will become god

An i\'ll think that ps2 should bwe able to do 10.000.000 with full effects, just look at gt3 and you\'ll see its possible

And what\'s wrong with that? Realistically, EA, Capcom, Konami, THQ, Square, and all the others big name companies aren\'t going anywhere. There franchies are too deep rooted and have too large of fanbases to ever really bring the downfall of any of these companies. Some may shrink, and some may flurish.. who knows.. but if we get better games from every direction then who really cares? It\'s a win-win situation for us.

I hope Sega makes a true Phantasy Star sequel (or prequel) for all the consoles in this generation. Not because I want to see Square loose any of it\'s RPG shine.. but competition is good and Phantasy Star is almost as synanomous with RPG\'s as Final Fantasy is. It\'s an excellent series and I\'d love to see it continue.

Hmmm.. come to think of it.. I\'ve heard something about Square and Sega teaming up to make an Arcade game. If this sort of thing continues, perhaps we could see a FF/PS cross over! Kick ass!

Hey, I got it.. how about a Square/Sega fighting game. Phantasy Star vs. Final Fantasy.. it\'d be kinda like the Marvel vs. Capcom games, only in 3D. On one side, you have all the most popular Final Fantasy heros & villans.. and on the other you have all the Phantasy Star hero\'s and villans. (Well.. actually Darkforce would have to be a boss character.. but Mother Brain, Zio, Lassic, and all the others could be playable characters.) Oh yeah.. this has got me drooling..

Cloud vs. Rolf
Rika vs. Rinoa
Lassic vs. Kefka
Sephiroth vs. Zio

Someone should write a letter to Square and Sega...

Sega is a very good developer, but you can\'t call Konami or Capcom or Square or even EA sloutches cause there games are looking pretty awesome

Not to mention the PS2 toolkits are getting much better now than what these Dev\'s had to work with early on, on top of the fact that overall knowledge about the PS2 platform is better.

Praising Sega for hitting 10 mpps on there 1st try while trying to make the other large 3rd party developers look lame for not hitting the same poly count at launch is extremly LAME

I grow very tired of Nintendo and Sega fans believeing there respective Companies are surperior, They\'re very talented, but not Superior

y\'all don\'t understand one big problem.   The 10 million number was for the arcade NOT for the PS2.

Thats like saying I really drive a Volkswagon Beetle that performs and feels like a BMW. :)

No game on the PS2 has pulled those numbers so far and this would be SEGA\'s first game for the PS2.  I just don\'t see it happening... The PS2 version will probably be a version that is being scalled back.

The only way I can imagine that Sega is reaching these numbers is if they\'ve really been secretly working secretly on learning the PS2 hardware over the past year or so preparing for the switch form hardware to software.  I think this can be the only way.

They have worked with complicated hardware before.  They know how to work it and get performance.

Why are so many people underestimating Sega?  Have any of you actually played AM2 games.  They are perfect in every way.  

Sega has had PS2 developement kits since November, and VF4 isn\'t coming out on PS2 until early 2002.  That\'s a whole year!!

For anyone who doesn\'t know,Dwarrior is one of the worst fanboys of all time. He\'ll say anything to make the PS2 look bad. That post is just an example. Saturn being more complicated than PS2...HA! Go troll another forum DOCWIZ, PSX2CENTRAL was doing just fine while you were away.
