The point of that excercize was to show how hyped the ps2 is! It was soooo hyped and Sony assumed because of its name that people would buy it without thinking anything of it. That was wrong, and what these guys were showing was that these are real people that are buying products, not just prisoners with a number tag! When sony does this to people they will face this kind of backlash and resentment because of their corporate deception. That PS2 is a symbol of sony and their conglamorate and they must uphold that otherwise face some unhappy customers. It was just like the time when the Japanese were dumping cars into the us at artificially low prices in hopes of bankrupting our auto industry.
