Ah,
I understand.
That makes sense.
You should seriously check this game out.
I wish I still had it, so that I could start a new game.
But I let a friend borrow it and never got it back.
It does have a copy protection though, which sucks.
At the beginning of each reloaded data, it asks for a word from the manual.
It will say.
What is on page 42, 5 lines down, 6th word.
Which was always gay.
They didnt have that on the CD version though.
Hopefully thats what you get.
Or maybe they will provide something for that.

I just checked on Moby, and yes, it\'s ABware. I just downloaded the disk version (fully cracked) and a walkthrough in case I get stuck. I can\'t give you the site I downloaded it from because I don\'t wanna be banned over technicalities, but just do a Google search on "Abandonware Wizardry 7 Crusaders of the Dark Savant Download". Two sites should pop up. Click on the top link, and it should take you to a page that has it.

From the box covers on Moby, it looks to be less like an adventure RPG and more of a DungeonHack type of game. Those aren\'t exactly my favorites types of RPG\'s, but I\'ll give this game a whirl and see if I like it. Two other games of this type, which you may like, are Shadow of Yesbius and Fates of Twinion. They were the first graphic MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online RPG) where you could form a party with other players from all over the country, but now that INN/TSN has shut down they can get a bit boring, and quite difficult. Moby gave them a generally high scores, so you may want to look into getting them to try out. They\'re VERY rare ABware, but I\'ve got both of them so if you\'re having too difficult of a time finding them, ask me and I can E-mail them to you.

Awesome.
yeah, email the links to them.
Also, is Goblin Quest by sierra ABware?
That was an interesting puzzle game and I would like to play it again.
Its not really a Dungeon game.
ABout half the game takes place outside.
Its a very HUGE world too.
It has random battles also.
But they are way better than like Final Fantasy random battles.
Just give it a chance.
You also said Betrayal of Krondor was ABware now.
I remember wanting to get that.
Was it good when it came out?
Email the link to that too.
Also, if you just want hints on what to do in the game instead of what exactly to do, just ask, and Ill give you a hint.
I remember that game pretty well.

Well what I meant was, it\'s a game similar in play to that of DungeonHack or Menzoberanzzan. I\'d send you the link, but that would take longer than just looking the site up yourself. Just do a http://www.google.com search with the words I provided in "" above, and it will take you right to the link to the page. I was there just a few minuites ago.. trust me.. you should have absolutely no problems finding it.

Gobliiins 1, 2, and 3 should all be abandonware by now. You may want to check at http://www.mobygames.com to check the year they came out and then check Sierra\'s website to see if they\'re still selling them. If they aren\'t then it\'s ABware. While you\'re there, they should have a download section with Betrayal In Krondor (full version) available. It\'s not really Abandonware since Sierra release the game for public licence, which means it\'s basically like shareware. You can download it and trade it to as many people as you want provided you don\'t alter the game in any way or sell it.

Speaking of which, I need to download the game too. I just bought it\'s sequel, Betrayal in Antara, a few weeks ago from a videogame trader shop and would like to get another one of my collections nearly complete. BiA is also ABware I believe.. but it\'d be one hell of a download over 56k. It\'s 3 cd\'s long, and a CD rip just wouldn\'t do the game justice since you really do need the introduction movies and dialoge to understand what\'s going on.

Go back to the google search and enter these words into the search engine. "abandonware Crusaders of the Dark Savant Download" That should bring you to the page I was talking about. I think the addition of "Wizardry 7" might have been what tripped it up. So far I haven\'t even gotten into the game yet, I keep getting an error message. Something about missing scripts, or can\'t load script or like that. I\'ve already patched it, so I\'ll try to use CPUKiller next and see what happens. I could well be that the copy I downloaded was corrupt... in which case I don\'t know what to tell you. I looked all over the place and the only sites that have it listed are full of dead links or have been shut down by the IDSA and SPA. That sucks.. expecially since The Keep got shut down just a few days ago. They were great.. I was hopeing to download a copy of Dos 6.22 and Win 3.11 for some of my older computers but I guess I\'ll just have to get my applications somewhere else. For some reason, most sites only want to put up ABware games and not other software. I can\'t tell you how long I\'ve been looking for an old copy of Adobe Morph. (Hey, Altered Beast, if you\'re reading this.. lemmie know if you run across a copy.)
Anyhow, the first link that pops up will be "rpg". That\'s the one to go to.

BIK and BIA are very good games IMO. They\'re one of the few old RPG\'s that have fully 3D worlds to explore in the first person view mode. The battles are turn based, but fresh and non-repetitive like the Final Fantasy ones are. The inventory screens can be a bit confusing at first, but they are actually quite nice when you get used to them. The things you really have to watch out for is the magic management screens and the storyline. Since the games are written by Raymond Feist around his semi-famous Rift-War saga of books and deal mostly with political intriuge in a fantasy setting, things can get a bit confusing later on if you\'re not paying close attention.

Thats cool,
cause Im all about political Intrigue.
Oh yeah.
I found it at like 4:00 am last night.
Ive been getting the script errors too.
I read something saying that thats because this game is really bad on newer computers.
They said you would probably need something like Mo\'slo.
I guess Ill download them then.
Havent found anything about Goblins yet though.

I\'m about 90% sure that Gobliiins I&II are Abware, but there is always that doubt because I don\'t KNOW for a fact that they are. Gobliiins III I really can\'t say anything about since I believe it\'s a newer title. I\'ve never been really interested in the Gobliiins series, so I can\'t really help you out all that much. Eventually I\'d like to collect all the game products Sierra had released prior to Yosemite Entertainment closing. I\'ve got quite a collection already, but I\'m still missing quite a few like the EcoQuest series, Castle of Dr. Brain, Twisty History, the Hoyle series, and some of Dynamix\'s shooters like Nova9 and Stellar7. If I collect anything newer, it will be only because they are continuations of older series, like GK3:Blood of the Sacred Blood of the Damned, a new Space Quest, LSL, KQ, QFG, or such.

Alright, I just checked AbandonGame\'s website and they have links to sites containing all three games in the Gobliiins series. I\'m still not sure if they\'re abandoned or not though, cause Abandongames has a tendancy to put up Oldwarez on their site too. (Oldwarez is any program at least 3-5 years old and are not easy to find, but still sold commercially. Exp: Monkey Island 1-3, QFG 1-4, PoliceQuest 1-4.. ect.)

Like I said, check Sierra\'s website to see if they\'re still selling the game. You may also want to write an Email to their customer support asking if they are still selling it.

Hey awesome.
Thanks.
Ill do a search when I get home from work to get them.
Also, do you remember a sierra FPS which takes place in the old west and you are like a sheriff.
I had a demo of it a while ago, and thought it was awesome
Just wondering if you can remember the name off the top of your head.
I hope they come out with a new SQ for the PS2.
That would be fun.

No.. the only FPS\'s that Sierra has published or developed (To my knowlage) are Half-Life, Tribes, Nova9, Stellar7 and Hunter-Hunted. None of them take place in the old west. In fact, the only "Old West" titles Sierra ever created were Gold Rush and Phreddy Pharcus: Frontier Phamracist. Both were adventures.

You may be thinking of Mad Dog McGee.

Nah.
That game was live action right?
I think it might have been a demo that never finished development.
It was a fun game too.
I found gobliins by the way.
So thats cool.
I would feel so bad if I downloaded half of those games cause I want them.
But I was never big on getting games that way.
Like I could get all the Space Quests.
But Im not.
Im getting Dragonfire tomorrow.
Its coming UPS, so thats cool.
Luckily I dont have work tomorrow.
So Im set.
At least...I hope I dont have work.

Maybe you\'re thinking of Gunman Chronicals? That\'s an extreemly new game, if it\'s even been released yet. Check Sierra\'s website, they may have some info on it.

BTW: I don\'t download oldwarez, just abandonware. Any games that I have which ARE oldware are the ones I\'ve bought from stores, videogame trader shops, and garage sales. I agree with you that it\'s just not right to bite the hand that feeds you. That\'s why I only download games which aren\'t being sold/supported. I figure I\'ve got or can earn the money to buy those games.. so I\'m supporting the industry.. but if the industry dosen\'t want to support me then I can\'t be expected to do the same for them as far as those games are concerned. All I ask is that these companies support the software they release.

Anyway, hope you\'re happy with QFG5. I\'ll be around to help you out as long as my ISP dosen\'t figure out that they forgot to shut off my account. :D

Its released, we have it at my store.
But thats not the one Im talking about.
Its about, I would say 4 years old.
It was when sierra partnered with AOL, and when you got an AOL disk in the mail it had some sierra games on it, and that was one of the demos.
It was really good.
I dont think it ever got released.
Probably bad market testing.
