i need a fast answer....

what cables come with a DVD player when you buy one?...

. I\'ve said it before and I\'ll say it again, in terms of ingenuity, exclusivity, and console competition, X-Box brings nothing to the table except a fat wad of cash and some rehashed PC components wrapped with a DC controller and a plastic black box.----RYU

Typically you get the three RCA cables for Composite video.  Yellow/Red/White.  Sometimes you get an S-Vid cable as well.  Oh yeah, and a power chord.

i have a toshiba 32" tv...and it has colorstream(fancy name for component video)....it has a blue connection instead of yellow...does that matter?...

for component don\'t you need a total of 5 cables? 2 for audio and 3 for video?....is that what comes with them?

Component video requires 3 cables (blue, green, and red).  You can substitute any old RCA cable set for them (red, yellow, white).  But, you will get better quality video if you use better quality cables meant for component video transfer.

And if you want stereo or Dolby Surround Sound coming out of your DVD player, you can use 2 RCA cables.  You need Optical or Digital Coax for Dolby Digital and/or DTS.
