hey i have a question, do you think the demo is worth the wait, or are we being fooled by the hype.
Well its very good but it\'s only a very small indication off what\'s to come, Its fairly short especially if you take the short cut up the outside of the ship, although when I fist started playing it I died quite allot (its been along time since I\'ve play MGS =) although most people will be wandering round scouring every part of the ship in & out, trying things out. Also the demo is greatly lengthened buy the in game movies (which always use the game engine), these are great to watch, & the whole feeling of the games is like a movie, its like playing a movie it really draws you in. The demo I played, the speech is in jp with English subtitles, everything else is in English.
also what are the weapons like in MGS2 , i.e the one you have a go at.
well you start of with the M9, its a non automatic tranquilliser dart gun, that hold about 45 darts. Later you get a ups, but it doesn\'t have a silencer & its hard to fined many bullets, unlike the M9 which has quite a bit of ammo lying around the ship. Basically you can use the M9 to shoot things out like, guard radios and surveillance cameras, but it will take a few more shots to do it but its quieter. Go firing the UPS when there any guard about & they\'ll come running. So shoot someone with the tranq drag em out the way if there\'s other guard about, & shoot them in the head with the noisy UPS. O yes better hide the body if its a patrolled are inside lockers, behind the bar or if your out on the deck drag them to a few points marked out by white lines, & overboard they go accompanied by the satisfying splash. As for weapons that\'s all you get its a shame cus the guards are wandering round with what reminded me of AK-47 & MP5\'s & you can\'t nick them, I guess it would of been easy for Hideo to include this, but It would probably change the structure of the game.
Also what\'s the new moves i have the new edition of PSM2, are there more moves?
I don\'t no what moves are in the new PSM2? I don\'t bother with mags anymore, by the time there published all the news has been on the net a month.
what\'s the effects like are there some you have spotted ?
If you shoot a pipe steam comes out, which can burn the guards, giving you a distraction, fire extinguishers when shot realistically release there gas with the hose flying round this also can be used to distract & disorientate the guard, you get empty clips that can be thrown to distract a guard to a general direction. The fomentation steam when you look in first person will condense the lens & slowly evaporate, if you die in first person view the screen cracks sometimes with blood & you drop to the floor, if you die in 3rd person view, snake clutches his stomach with blood spurting out his mouth. The game seems more violent now blood splats against walls & riot shields, they also move when hit very convincingly depending on where there shot, cap em in the head with the UPS when the unconscious and there bodies twitch & jerk for a few seconds. Dead bodies leave pools of blood, now you can drag bodies by the head or feet, now some may say there should be a trial off blood were you have dragged the body, but you have to draw the line somewhere I mean this is a game, they can spot your blood(snake will leave trails off blood & footprints when injured) & you can use a bandage for this, so they would spot the trails coming from the dead bodies to where they were dragged, what are they going to do, give you a mop & bucket I don\'t think so. lightening, rain, explosions reflections shadows glass braking, paper & cameras being shot they\'ve all been pain stankenly reconstructed, The PS2 is very good at particle effects & lighting. If people doubt the ps2 let them play this game. Hideo said that he could make a MGS2 5 times more impressive but its a time & money issue, it would also take 5 years longer & the costs would be huge.
How long have you been playing it ?
I\'ve had access to it for about 3 days so far although i\'ve not played it every day I\'ve been very busy & not played it as much as I would off liked , although I did play it till 4 in the morning last night. =)
and will you be still buying the Zone Of enders game?
Yes most definitely, I\'m really looking forward to it.
