Anyone have Baldur\'s Gate II for the PC?

I just got it today and aren\'t too far into it. I heard good things about so I bought it. For those of you who have it- what do you think and what kind of main character did you create? Just trying to learn how to play this crazy game. Its so complicated.

too much talking - or is there just a lot in the beginning?

sorry but i guess i am a impatient person - i want to fight more and have a good plot at the same time - did i also mention i am greedy...

I have all the Games of Baldurs gate world, you should really start with the first as it is less complex and gets you into the game, Baldurs Gate is One of the best if not the best RPG fantasy game ever, the graphics and story, depth and character creation are just amazing, give it time.
As for the character I made well, I chose a Wizard Conjourer, as normal, extremely cool at level 17, This would be my dream game if only they made it more multyplayer, I got the internet a year ago, and now never play single player, its just to darn good, kicking the crud out of people all over the world and forming clans, I always wanted to get Everquest but need credit card. so im waiting for Black & White and playing Ground Control at present.

whenever I try to play on-line it says

"can\'t connect"

Baldur\'s Gate 2 is very good.  I like it a lot, however I\'m at a fight right now that is very hard for me to beat.  If you don\'t play AD&D, like me, then you\'re at a disadvantage b/c you have to learn all the spells and their counters which is a pain, but the game itself is awesome.

SnowFox if you really want multiplayer just wait for NeverWinter Nights.  And although I\'m really looking foward to WarCraft 3, it will probably beat the sh!t out of that.

The game is great.
I´m now in my 80iest day and don`t want to play anymore.One of my characters died between 2 loading areas and now all the equipment is lost somewhere.This character had this little bag where you can put in as many things as you want.And there was LOT of stuff in it,like the parts of the special weapons etc. My other safegames are 40 days earlier !I`m such a dumbass
Maybe sometime I`ll pick up the game again,but now I`m busy with Severance and Undying.

so what kind of main character did you all make.
