OT: Bizarre Creations GT3-killer to feature 16,000+ polygons just for the cars

remember that GCN demo from spacworld which had 12 cars on screen each with 12-14k polygons? do they come close to the REALISTIC look GT3 has?...nope.

same will be true for this pathetic at best xbox game.

What silly people.  Thinking that their "godly" racing game can\'t be outdone.  It will happen...oh, yes it will.  Maybe not by this game but some day.

Bizarre is very good at making games, MSR is a VERY GOOD game.  But it took them 3 years to make it.  Don\'t expect too see this beast until late 2002 at earliest.

I think it looks way beyond anything currently being done.

Malice is above everything above anything I have seen on PS2 in terms of bump surfaces and characers that cast shadows onto themselves.

N-player, dont right this game off because it is for the X-Box, Bizarre is a very good developer, and it will be no crap game, it may not have all the crap that GT3 has, but why should it, it\'s an arcade game, isnt it?

I do not need to talk about gameplay because GT3 murders every racing game on the planet and any game coming(until GT4 that is;))....

malice looks pathetic....zelda demo destroys it...not only that but the art looks HORRIBLE(makes me puke)...if this looks (good) for xbox...LOL

Agreed!  GT3 will be outdone by GT4 ...
Bizarre is a good developer but you should know the difference between a genius and a good developer...I\'m repeating myself...for example...Naughty Dog are good developers,really talented,and I\'m confident their secret action-platform will be something really BIG but my opinion is=they have no chance to beat Mario on the NGC!...Why?  Because Nintendo is truly a milestone in platform,they perfectly know how to do a perfect platform...in a word...Nintendo is a Genius in Platforms!!!

umm, this is by the guys who made MSR for DC. and that game is godly

I beg to differ... and while I wanted to write a nice in-depth post as to why I think MSR is a pile of ****. I\'ll hold off, there\'s simply no point. Everyone has the right to think what they want.

Anyhow, regarding the topic,. I\'ll believe it when I see it, and running too. (@ 60fps)

It\'s cool though, 16k polygons for one car on the screen at a time, and 200 polygons for the enviroment.


Let\'s see, 16k polygons /car.. Assuming there\'s @ least 6 cars on the screen running @ 60fps, that\'s 5.7 million polygons just on the cars alone. Not taking into account how many polys the enviroments will have plus physics/ai/etc. Like I said, I\'ll believe it when I see it running, and since the xbox is the \'ever-so-powerful\' system, 30fps better be out of the question.

Okay, but the developer just came about in the last few years.  Who was king before that?  That\'s irrelevant, but anyway, it seems they were dethroned as king when GT came out.  Who\'s too say it can\'t happen again.

  And I stand by what I say, the GT series will be out done someday.And personally, I though Banjo-Kazooie was leaps and bounds better than Mario...

are you sure Gran Turismo will be outdone Ginko?? good luck waiting for that to happen,i would almost gamble on that phrase,odds are way in my favor! it will take more than polygons to win that war. also do not put words in my mouth..er..forum text,i never said Malice didn\'t impress me? how could i,haven\'t played it and if you noticed,i did say i was not judging the game - so please remember to read before you write. i was refering to the graphical leap of it\'s current status from that of PS2 games,it isn\'t that huge of a leap to me  (and alot of others as well,even some of the game industry amitted that too). it was mainly a remark about the comparison to GT3 and this upcoming racer,if it only has visuals like that of Malice over other PS2 games out and being developed,then that racer\'s graphics would not get me that much more excited than what GT3 currently shows me. now as for playing the game,that is a whole \'nother subject

so you\'re telling me Malice graphics are well beyond any current video game out or in developement? i have nothing against the game,but i just don\'t see what you and a few others see,i do not see the outstanding graphics except for a couple more added effects,that\'s all.

After seeing MSR on dreamcast, which looks better than the current PS2 racers, one can only imagine how a game like that would look on the xbox..

So now your counting polys in a tech demo? That GCN demo was strickly tech and not in game.  OMG. Why does everyone get mad when some shows something that xbox has that may be better than what sony has. I mean you have to understand that there will be better games than what sony has to offer. I mean i got a grand prix my brother has a navigator sure his navigator is better than my grand prix, but does that mean that my car sucks. No just means ford makes a better one. I mean ppl are going to have to except the fact is there are going to be better games than gt3,ssx,zoe, and so on. I mean there are a lot of developers out there that are getting better and better and learning how to take advantage of hardware. I see nothing wrong with somebody making a better game than gt3. Just like any other video game there is bound to be a better one made by another developer. And that is no reason to get upset and become so protective. And who knows what this game will be like but I know 16K polys per car in game is awesome.  So who knows all I have to say we will wait and see. But as of now I am looking forward to gt3 and all it has to offer then I will take a look at what xbox has to offer in racing.

Ummm yes ok but what makes you think that the gamepaly won\'t be up to standard? I don\'t think nobody knows what they are doing with xbox hardware. It could be one of the best racing games ever made. All I am saying don\'t rash out on this games just because it competes with gt3.  Atleast wait and see before counting it out.

Again what makes you believe they will not focus on the gameplay in this game. Just because we have  news of it having a lot of polys per car does not mean the gameplay will suck.  Again counting it out. I love my ps2 and I also can\'t wait for xbox and I won\'t down a game that has potential to be great. Time will tell. If I went bye what ppl said or thought I would not have bought bouncer. It got bad reviews and a lot of ppl said it sucked but I think it is good game.
