no-one what the hell do you mean detailed sky???? there is no detail in the sky LMAO, anyways those pics look ok, GT3 looks way better, wich i think is a trip, the cars in gt3 dotn look as jaggie as these cars do fore some reason, i know and if thoes cars are 16,000 then why the hell do thye look no better than the GT3 cars?

Oh well. I knew this would happen. Xbox games don\'t look much better than the PS2. If not WORSE. I feel that gamecube will have the best graphics. I even see jaggies on those pics

What do you expect from the first software titles? Give me a break, the first batch of PS2 games looked like poo and not much better and sometimes worse then a  DC (case and point: Summoner!!!!). Just now is the PS2 actually showing any signs of life and that is only with a few games. You cannot expect MS to have some magic ball and developers to have first generation software that looks like fourth generation software. And, its been common knowledge that the graphical differences bewteen the two systems wouldn\'t be much, until a few generations and then it would depend on how far the developers was pushing it and utlizing the hardware for each system.

So, instead of crying and whining about how the pictures look, why not wait for E3 and see if MS announces any big exclusive titles? Because, that is what really matters--not the graphics. They can get away with having a system that doesn\'t look much better or no better then a PS2, if they have exclusive killer "apps".

Wait a minute...are you calling these shots "disappointing"?  Wow.  I always underestimated the will of fanboys...never again though.















All the demos you saw were running on Phase 2 Xboxes (i.e. GeForce3 powered).  We\'ve yet to see the potential of the Xbox.

oh so they were phase 2 x boxes, ok, now i guess i undertsand. but i honest to god think that racing game looks crappy, im sorry but thats what i think, i aint no fanboy, i want to get a GC and maybe even an x box, but that pic looks crappy, i know it will get much better looking now, take the giants citizen kabuto shots for the ps2 at first hey sucked ars, now they look awesome, in time we will be proven wrong.

I mean you guys are being hypocrites.  About 5 or 6 months ago, you were saying that the PS2 graphics would get better over time even though they were sub-par.

Now that XBox is here, you are saying it will be crappy.

El, they are fanboys (not all of them, like ooseven, he\'s one of the only objective PS2 fans on this board), it\'s just them re-evaluating their PS2 purchase.  Hey, I own a PS2 and I love it to death, but hey, it won\'t hurt me to say this: "Unfinished Xbox games on unfinished hardware already looks better than finished PS2 games at the moment."  There.  Try it, it ain\'t so bad.

Wasn\'t Ps2 supposed to be 15 times more powerful than DC? How come I was seeing all these games on DC that looked tons better?

The games not even out yet and already you guys are saying "told you so", go look at PS2 early shots, ha!

It\'s called post-hype syndrome.

When M$ promised a console 3x more powerful than PS2, you expect the games to knock you off your chair, and make you twitch on the floor. When that doesn\'t happen, people start to b\'tch. People still don\'t understand hype and BS. 100mpps, hah. Now that the games don\'t completely and utterly destroy every PS2 game on the planet, they have to say, \'well it looks better than first-gen ps2 games\' .. when the truth of the matter is it should\'ve destroyed everything. remember a msr shot (that was cg) that someone posted here, asking if that\'s what xbox would look like.. well um, ..  I\'ll leave that one alone.

Nothing is going to blow anything away. The PS2 didn\'t \'destroy\' the DC, the xbox doesn\'t \'destroy\' the PS2, and the GC won\'t \'destroy\' the xbox.

There are some definite strengths to the Xbox hardware over the PS2 looking at these early shots, and knowing that they are not running on the final product means there is alot more improvement to be made


I admit that the backgrounds in the racing game are flat textured and kinda crappy but still not that bad, and better then any racing game released on the PS2 so far


Football charaters look great, and Halo looks  pretty sweet

although some of these pic are 800 x 600 most are 640 x 480


When will MS show off games running on the final hardware, this "It isn\'t on the final hardware" crap is getting old. I want to see the real deal
