I just picked it up on the way to work, but, all I can do is stare at the package for the next 12 hours!!  ARRGH!!  I guess I like to torture myself :D

Anyway, this was one game I have been excited about for a while, and if its as long as RE3 (Decent enough length) like I\'ve been hearing, I will be quite happy.  RE3 was short but not excrutiatingly so.

As far as Oni is concerned, I remember this game being touted as such a revolutionary game waaaay back in \'98.  That was when I was heavy into Myth II and the only thing on bungie.net was Oni advertisements.  From the way it looks now, it doesn\'t seem to have changed much graphically from the few movies in \'98!!  LOL, some revolution!

Anywho, this one I am going in cold, and not using any strategy guides or help in any way.  That\'s what ruined RE2 and RE3 for me, strategy guides I mean.  It\'s also why I had such a blast with RE1!  I had no help whatsoever!!  Damn game took me 24 hours to complete!  (Yeah, I\'m slow, and I also overthink my puzzles!  :D )

I\'m expecting great things from this game.
Let those who stand for tyranny and injustice fear the hell the United States will unleash upon them.

I personally love this game so far.
The only thing I have against it, is its archaic control scheme.
But that complaint pales besides the amount of fun Im having playing it.
They solved the one problem most people have always had with Resident Evil.
People loved to kill stuff, but you only had a certain amount of bullets and herbs.
They solved both of those problems in this game.
Hey,
where do you get the bow?

ddaryl:  It\'s too true that the console wars is full of BS.  I have a new sig that I haven\'t put in yet that will show it.

I have something to say about Halo.  It really isn\'t that popular outside of the hardcore PC, not to say that it couldn\'t be, but at this time it isn\'t.

If Halo doesn\'t have online play, then all I can say is that XBox will be a bit disappointing at the least...
It seems as if the people [casual gamers] that we consider to know absolutely nothing are the ones that actually know the most important thing: Name brands don\'t make the console, games do.

I agree, the control scheme is whacked, but when you get used to it it ain\'t so bad.

as for the bow, I forgot where I got it from. I have trouble using the bow, not sure how to aim, anyone

I got it today and I like it. Not very impressed gameplay wise, but still I enjoy it about as much as I did Dino Crisis 2. It is Capcom, therefor it is great.

I had trouble with the controls when I first played it and had to fight 2 people at a time,
but I later got used to it. One of the good features that I like in the game is the fact that
you can block even if someone is behind you (this game would be hard if you couldn’t do
this). Just out of curiosity...how many people actually watched the beginning scene and
read all the info that you picked up in the game?

Yeah, I finally found the bow.
The control isnt hard, it just could have been done a lot better.
Right now Im not that damn annoying water puzzle.
Damn its annoying, and each time you die you have to go through ALL those puzzles again, with the dumb conversations that go along with them.
Im still happy with it.
It will be longer than I thought just because of the fact that there is a reason to kill guys in this game which makes it fun.

Samanosuke is so damn fast though. When surrounded, I do the forward thrust, spin around, kick the guy behind me (hold down then attack) and then run, and slash them all at once

damn, I love this game. Not to mention it is the first game to be played on my PS2.

I have nothing but high praises for Sony.

Back to the water puzzle.
