Ah onimusha, a game that has been poerted from psx, to N64, and now it has been put in the hands on the PS2, and i must say that it was the greatest move for this game.
Onimusha in my word is the best game out for the PS2 right now, it has the best Graphics "besides the backrounds wich i will get 2 later" the best sound, great gameplay, and i must say that the cg intro in the beginin is the best thing i have seen since, the FF8 intro.
Gameplay:
the gameplay so far is awesome, i have it on the japanes voices with english subtitle " this is recommended since i have heard that the engilsh voices sound a bit crappy" i have only reached the first boss, and i havent beat him yet cause i had to come and write this
wich is the Monster that kidnapped the princess in the begining. The control scheme is great, but i has its problems also, you can do a quick turn around in case there is an enemy about to hack you in half with the R2 button, press the L1 button to block and enemy attack, and you can hold down R1 to hold you weapon over you head and stick an emey with it, " not to mention you look like a bad ass" ,so far the story line is pretty staright foward, it informs you of what is going on and you will find certain journals wich you will need to decifer codes and open chest as well as some notes "reminds me of resident evil". when you suck up souls wit the gauntlet, there are three types of souls, yellow souls: regenerate you, Red souls: refill your enhancer so you can upgrade you weapon. and blue souls refill your magic meter
Graphics:
i can tell you hands down that this is the best looking game for the PS2 right now, even though it has 2d backrounds that dont mean sh!t, they look beautiful none the less and are a bit nteractive as well, it also has some great lighting effects, but the coolest looking i have seen so far, is the water, it is realest water i have ever seen in any game period. in other words, this game pulls out some of the newest graphic tricks the PS2 hasen\'t shown us yet. the detail in the charcters look awesome,"10,000 polys for each model is a treat:)" when you get to the first boss it shows a cut scene of them having a quick argument, and i must say, this is the coolest looking monster ever, his armor looks great, his horns are stained with aged blood as well as his teeth and you can see the different shades perectly, as well as the body, hardly any jaggies, i havent even actually noticed any. the blood gushing around looks great as well, especially when you impale them and the blood pours out from the bottom
i like. I also like the way you can suck up the souls in you trusty gauntlet look nice
Sound:
i have heard that the english acting isn\'t all that great so i decided to have it in japanes voices and english sub titles wich i think suites the game better seeing as how it\'s placed in feudal japan, and ther only japanes, the music is perfect, it gives the game the right feel, and sets the time and place perfectly.
Cons:
the only actual problem i have had with this game so far is the camera angles are great but could have been seta bit better, and the fact you can\'t use the analog stick, you have to use the d-pad. but nothing major at all

Buy this game!!!:p this game is a definet must have for any blood and gor fanatic, as well as a great story line, i have no regrets buying this ame, and i cant wait till part 2 is released.
